DMG and Alien have consistently shins themselves to be amateurs when it comes to releasing a quality comic book line. If IDW can take control and (significantly) improve the books then that might be something.

Hopefully Valiant beyond is cancelled as it would have been a car crash in the hands of Fred Van Lente or whoever that had lined up for it.

Alien are far too ambitious, they can’t deliver a decent Bloodshot book, never mind crossovers and multi-universe stuff.

Hallelujah! Lysa Hawkins made too many poor decisions on creators and and books were mostly trash. This decision is 18 months too late. She should have been out when Alien took over.

Will things improve? Time will tell but if Alien can’t get better talent and better editors then I’d rather no books ...

I won't go as low as 1/5, but Psi-Lords really were a horrible visual dynamic from VEI. Just laughable looking without even going into the willpower dork. Those characters alone ...

I’ve lost confidence in Alien. The Bloodshot books have been low IQ nonsense and I stopped reading Shadowman a while back. Would need to see some good reviews to get me to buy into another Bloodshot launch (or tried and tested creators).

I’m concerned about Alien’s plans to ‘crash’ together the various Valiant universes (or is it univi?!). Whilst it’s an intriguing concept, it’s majorly ambitious. Dinesh with VDitti, Dysart etc MIGHT be able to pull this off, but Alien have struggled to deliver quality books and the current big ...

Yet another book written by the average to below average FVL. Having read this one shot, by the end I was left thinking ‘what was the point of that’? If you had a long and critically acclaimed XO run and needed a fill in issue then this would be acceptable. But by itself :?

Side note…if Alien’s poor attempt at producing Valiant comics is making you want to leave the hobby then try the 3 DC Absolute titles (Batman, Superman and WW), they’re all tres bien
