Wow! What can I say that I haven’t said about previous issues of this mini series?!

Seemed to take forever to read. I’m ‘hate reading’ at this point
Garbled mess of a story
Made even worse with Fred Van Lente’s ‘funny’ quips
3 x artists (2 of them second tier, 1 third tier)
Forced cameos by virtually every character in the Valiant U for ‘reasons’

Not much to say about Resurgence #4.

In terms of plot, things are coming to the proverbial boil.

In terms of art, I still think it has the best quality art I've seen from Alien so far.

I do think it's curious that rather than continuing in a fifth issue it is wrapping in a one-shot instead.

I won't go as low as 1/5, but Psi-Lords really were a horrible visual dynamic from VEI. Just laughable looking without even going into the willpower dork. Those characters alone almost nuke the whole storyline.

My theory is the editor told Fred Van Lente to cram in as many characters as possible, FVL skim read VEI (the parts he didn’t write aka the good stuff) and phoned in this garbage script.

Yeah, for some bizarre reason there’s a follow up one off ‘finale’.

Truly shocking. It's not like there'd already been a year of comics that showed exactly what to expect. Even the apologists and subsidized shills are strangely quiet or have "Not much to say".
