Re: What comics are you reading now?
Still madly obsessed with Immortal Hulk. Simply the most rewarding read for a long time Hulk fan like me. I also just got a second fan letter printed in issue #42!!! I thought the first time I got one in Immortal Hulk #35 was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill to achieve - a second one in such a short time...

Re: Iron Man #1 1968
Congrats on that, nycjadie! I love that issue for its cover just as much as IMJ. I recently got a limited edition screenprint poster of the cover that is approximately 16x24 in size - the image really is so iconic and looks fantastic as a large print! I have owned a copy twice in my lifetime - got a...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I picked up some of the TMNT trades from IDW on Comixology. And those books are actually really good. Probably gonna follow the series in trade now. That series is quite good! I have read up to around issue #25 or so to date. I was a tad too old for the era of TMNT cartoons and toys etc, but I have...

Re: G.I. Joe art recommendation
Jason Edmiston is a pretty great pro commercial artist who has done spoof card art before in the flavour of GI Joe - I have a print lying around somewhere of Jason Voorhees done up as a GI Joe card back figure. He does a lot of package artwork for collectible toys these days. Not sure if he’d take o...

Also, even crazier than the BWS Weapon X piece - that Amazing Spiderman #299 cover by McFarlane went for $250,000!!!

Re: Magnus #5 (1991) cover sells for $10,000+
Impressive price on the Magnus cover - I was watching that and the two BWS Solar pages in that auction. I didn't really expect to be able to afford either of the BWS Solar pages, but I was honestly surprised they both went that high! Also, super glad to hear that Dino got both of them - they couldn...

Re: Done with comics
Bad Idea is something I want to get behind, but I still don't see any easy way to get the books. Right now I'd have to drive about 5 hours round-trip for the nearest shop and I'm definitely not doing that. Maybe Ed will offer some more ... that I can do. Stuff like the Hero Trade is pretty unobtain...

Re: The Devil's Thread: Matt Wagner's Grendel
Oh cool, I’ll have to remember to keep an eye out for that magazine! I think I saw Matt post this cover art on his Facebook page at some point earlier in the year - I think it’s a new piece he did for this magazine. I am also not entirely enjoying Odyssey so far - it’s got a few good moments here an...

They have scaled back everything to barebones and are looking to just "Stay Alive" i'll be shocked it we are getting more than two books a month from here on out for awhile.. -Brian When they scaled down to 5-6 titles per month after the DMG takeover, *that* felt like barebones survival mode. This ...

There have been two issues of it out already since publication resumed, and They have been fantastic, even without the regular art te...

Re: New Ninjak series by Jeff Parker and Javier Pulido
Maybe they are doing something different because there is a dearth of creators that will work with Valiant after cutting out the original creators of VEI. Creators tend to work with others that respect creators. This....times a million. +1 Humans make these comics... humans, who worked with other h...

Re: Posters: Comic, Promos, Authentic Movie Posters, 27x40 Double Sided One Sheets & Other Cool Prints
I'm curious if you're into the alternative movie poster scene at all, IMJ... there is a pretty dedicated collector-fan base for it. If not familiar, its basically modern artists doing very limited run screen prints featuring new artwork that is officially licensed by the film studios. They typically...

Re: Undervalued Gems
Slightly off-but-on-topic... with regards to exploding prices, how many of you guys collect original art? I only collect stuff at the very lowest tiers of value & popularity [thanks to my personal taste in favourite childhood comics, lol] - but I have seen insane prices for all kinds of comic art at...

Re: The Starbrand in the Marvel 616 Universe
Kevin Connor/616 Starbrand was killed recently and the Starbrand moved to a pregnant woman, who then also died leaving the Starbrand to pass to her child . Now Iron Man and Captain Marvel are protecting the Starbrand, who is likely the key to defeating Khonshu and/or Mephisto over in Avengers. Sent...
