Re: Baltimore Comic-Con this Weekend Sean GREEN LANTERN PEN

Yeah it was kind of last minute. I wasn't going to be able to go, but then plans changed so I decided to go check it out. I screwed up though. Got there around 1:30 spent a couple hours checking everything out, went to the DC new 52 panel which ended at 5, then ran out of time to buy all the stuff I ...

Do you know the price point for these?

I believe they were $25. When I walked by he had black and red Solars and a Batman one. Kind of wish I would have bought one, oh well....

My original launch one lasted a long time, I thought I was one of the lucky ones. And then it finally red ringed. I sent it back for repairs and they returned it, but it promptly died again a week later. Sent it back and it worked fine until I replaced it with a Slim. Now my slim has just died even ...

Just read Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds, and Final Crisis: Rogue's Revenge this weekend. Hot damn were they some good reads!!! The George Perez artwork in the Legion storyline...good lord, that was some TOP notch work!!!!!

I also liked Revelations. IMO those 3 minis were way better than the ...

I'm not at the CGC level yet. Gotta buy a house sometime this year first, and even then... pricey. :)

I sent him one last reply before I go for the paypal/ebay refund route.

Thanks for all the advice, this has been somewhat entertaining.

Come on, it's right here in your listing.

I've been playing catch up and just finished reading Final Crisis. I'm trying to catch up on the DC events before I get the new 52 from DCBS at the end of September.

Daredevil #1. This was really, really good. It's nice to see a light side to the character after being dragged through hell ...

It really has to do with how well sales go. If the sales drop to pre-flashpoint levels or lower I think we'll see the changes reverted sooner than later and this will be written off as an alternate universe or some kind of event.

On the other hand if sales take off or do better than previous ...

I'm thinking he bought it at a flea market or something where the guy sold him on the idea that it was sealed away never touched by human hands. He seems stuck on that point.

His latest response:

Ok just sent him a message asking for a refund. Guess we'll see what happens.

Dear scorpionlotus,

I just brought up CGC as an example of a sealed case. The case that held the Harbinger 1 wasn't anything special that guarantees that a comic is in a certain condition, it's just a hard snap ...

I picked this up the other day. It's a complete reboot. Complete.

It actually has me less excited for the two books I planned to pick up - Animal Man and Batman. However, based on the art in this preview book, I am going to pick up Aquaman.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of maybe trying to negotiate some money back to what a VF- book would be worth, but I'm not sure what that would be. I think I might just try to get a full refund.

Auction problem advice

I was wondering if some of the more experienced among you could offer me some advice how to handle an eBay problem I'm currently having. I bought this Harbinger 1 ( eBay Link ) based on it being described as NM. The guy shipped it quick so that's fine, the problem is I wouldn't give the comic a NM ...

I think the minimum they should start with 4. One for each week of the month. That way it at least helps boost the brand if every Wednesday customers see another Valiant book on the shelves. If it's just one, they'd likely not draw much attention and or be forgotten about.

Hopefully Shadowman and ...

WTB Help in finishing my Valiant run

Thanks to a LCS going out of buisness, I've resumed what I started in 1994 but then qiuckly put on hiatus for 16 years after joining the Air Force. That is getting my grubby mitts on a complete Valiant run. I'm down to needing just 11 issues, not counting the golds and oddball stuff that I may ...

Try something that absorbs moisture - like settling it around rice. Sometimes it can remove smells, too.

Thanks, I'll have to try that. I've got it sitting between some pieces of cardboard under a bunch of long boxes right now. Hopefully that will help flatten it out. It's not too rank, as it was ...

I just found one of these rolled up in a cardboard tube which was stored in a LCS's bathroom. I just happened to notice it because part of the Shadowman card was sticking out of the tube. I've had this happen with a few of my orders from them. It's like one of their packers "stacks" the books by pounding them on the corner. Kind of irratating and *SQUEE* me off since most of the books had dinged corners. I never did call them about it though, as I figured it probably wouldn't be ...
