WTS: Magnus Penguin #10/40
I've been bouncing back and forth on whether to let this go, but he's been boxed up and in storage for a year so I think it's best that he heads to a new home. Also, second kid on the way, need to trim down my collections, etc. etc.

WTS: VH1 issues and tpbs - Mostly post-Unity
Once upon a time, I was trying to collect a full VH1 run. It was a fun journey and I almost got there, but then work and kid and blah blah blah. Basically, I gave up on the task because other priorities came up. I've been content to have these sit in long boxes for the last several years, but I ...

Re: Cleaning out my collection
Lots of this going on now here. It's the "strike while the iron's hot" period. . :)
It's more of a "do I really want these sitting around any longer" thing. I've read most of the VH1 runs at this point and, while I enjoyed most of it, I don't see myself jumping back in and doing it all over again ...

Cleaning out my collection
Hey all, long time no see. I've been lurking around and not very active the past couple of years, but I'm glad to see the world has VALIANT back in it.

Re: What games are you looking forward to now?!
The only new title on my shopping list is Halo 4. Everything else is stuff that's been out for a year, but has finally dropped enough in price to justify picking it up.
On the plus side, I'll have exciting new DLC to add when I finally start playing Skyrim and Mass Effect 3.

Re: Questions for GI Joe (3 3/4) collectors
That's my hope. All the random stuff is together and ready to be listed the next time I do an ebay blitz. I figured there should be at least a few parts that interest someone, or one of the people more dedicated to restoring old incomplete vehicles.

Re: Questions for GI Joe (3 3/4) collectors
If you have anything old Funskool I'd be interested in paying top dollar.
Sadly, I do not. I ended up breaking down most of this into single figures with their accessories. Vehicles that were incomplete or broken were pretty much pulled apart and sold piece by piece.

Re: LEGO 3300003 for sale
Got rid of mine right away from the MKE store opening earlier this summer. I was tempted to keep it, as it is very cool, but they were pushing $150+ at the time for a set that you can source for $40.

Re: Favor to ask of people going to SDCC
While all of the Valiant Lego nuts are in one place, does anyone else collect the blind bagged minifigures? I still need a few from Series 1, one from Series 3, and three from Series 7 (plus a full set of the UK olympic team if anyone has a hookup). Anyone want to trade?

Re: Favor to ask of people going to SDCC
If I may, I'll toss out my wishes to get these figs as well. The LEGO Super Heroes line has been a big hit in the house and I know these will be must-haves if they are never released in retail sets. I really hope wave 2 includes at least a copy of Green Lantern. I'm still ticked the only version of ...

Re: THE con I will not attend.
It's no better or worse than any other corner of fandom that's outside the mainstream. I see no difference between this or any con where people get together to celebrate a fictional IP and dress like their favorite characters. If you see nothing wrong with people marching around in storm trooper ...

Help identifying random old weapon
I've been sifting through old toys and trying to figure out what goes with what. I apparently had a pretty wide range of interests growing up, since I'm finding so much random stuff. I know we have some "vintage" toy buffs on here, so I figure I would ask about a random weapon I found that I'm ...

Re: Questions for GI Joe (3 3/4) collectors
By 'straight arm' I assume you mean the ones without a swivel portion on the upper part of the arm assembly. I have a few of those, but I don't have anything super-rare. I guess I'll see what figs I have that are complete and go from there. I assume anything I sell on ebay with a replaced o-ring ...

Questions for GI Joe (3 3/4) collectors
I know there are at least a few on here.
My parents recently dropped off all my old GI Joe toys. I've been having fun going though my stuff and piecing it all together. However, I'm not planning on keeping any of it simply because we just don't have the space. Most of my sets are from the late 80s ...

Re: Thinking about getting back into Magic The Gathering
I see references on some cards to a "Planeswalker." As in "do damage to player or Planeswalker." What is that? I thought the players WERE Planeswalkers?
Planeswalkers are new permanent type that was introduced a few years ago (in Lorwyn). The rules on them are pretty simple, but there are some ...

Re: Thinking about getting back into Magic The Gathering
I highly recommend the preconstructed products when it comes to getting used to the game. They have been designed with new players in mind and the cards typically work well around the central theme of the deck.

Re: Thinking about getting back into Magic The Gathering
How you go about getting back into the game really depends on how you want to play. WotC has actually done a really good job at designing products to help casual/lapsed players. I still play frequently and keep up with the game, so hopefully I can help you out a little.
