What games are you looking forward to now?!
It's awfully quiet around these parts! So what games are folks looking forward to for Xmas and into next year?
Personally I'm excited about the Wii U but I don't think I'll be picking one up before Xmas as the launch titles aren't spectaular past Zombiu which looks very cool.
Starbound - Still waiting on this to be released, a (not so) little indie game from the makers of Terraria. Think 2D Minecraft with elements of Borderlands, Pokemon and Mass Effect. Check it out, I can guarantee I'm going to lose hundreds of hours to this one.
Skyrim - Dragonborn - The new DLC should add even more hours to the life succubus that is Skyrim. A big expansion with new areas in Morrowind (no more snow, yay!) and a whole range of extra features including dragonriding, spears and more. Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-ED9G3i ... youtu.be&a
Luigi's Mansion 2 - A 3DS sequel to the massively underated Gamecube title. The humour in the original was excellent and it was a fun original game so looking forward to this.
Animal Crossing 3DS - A new Animal Crossing? sold.
In the long term future: Elite: Dangerous. A true sequel to the original Elite by the original company, my 1st kickstarter pledge too http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/146 ... -dangerous
I'm sure theres more... I'll be back to add to this list.

The only new title on my shopping list is Halo 4. Everything else is stuff that's been out for a year, but has finally dropped enough in price to justify picking it up.
On the plus side, I'll have exciting new DLC to add when I finally start playing Skyrim and Mass Effect 3.

The only game I am looking forward to with an intensity is the sequel to the indie freeware game, Barkley: Shut Up And Jam Gaiden. I really am glad they doubled their initial Kickstarter goal 12 days after launching and been clicking on the page every day.

I'm also tempted to get Bioshock Infinite. That does look amazing.

Halo 4
At this point, Ken's Rage 2 based on Fist of the North Star, the single best anime/manga/anything ever.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 on the PS3. The first game was graphically the best game I've ever seen and the game play itself was a ton of fun.

Phantasy Star Online 2. The follow-up to the Dreamcast classic. This time it is a free-to-play PC game (with versions for iOS, Android, and Vita coming soon).ian_house wrote:??Jay Tomio wrote:Only PSO2.

I am, in a way. Not feeling the hype that GoW III had, definitely (that game and Arkham Asylum were the main 2 reasons why I bought a PS3). But I'll buy it, 'cuz it's God of War: i love me bloody action and EPIC bosses!KXXX wrote:Umm... not one person here is looking forward to God of War: Ascension?

Looking forward to play Dishonored (it's out for 3 or 4 months now, I think).

Watch Dogs
Metal Gear: Ground Zeroes
Rainbow 6: Patriots
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle
Injustice Gods Among Us
The Last of Us
I've already bought Platinum's 'Metal Gear Rising'.
Outside a few fighting games I haven't bought many games over the past few years, but this year there are a lot of games I'm thoroughly interested in.

I've always been really into God of War, but seeing as I no longer have a job and therefore no money, I've literally *just* won an auction on ebay and have bought a copy for £20. Definitely looking forward to that now, because I'm going to play them through back to back, all in orderKXXX wrote:Umm... not one person here is looking forward to God of War: Ascension?

Re: What games are you looking forward to now?!
Not a whole lot I'm looking forward to right now, but here goes:
Games with release dates:
Grand Theft Auto V
Dishonored: The Witches of Brigmore (expansion pack)
Batman: Arkham Origins
Games that are supposedly coming out sometime in the future but have been perpetually unreleased for years on end:
Half-Life 2: Episode Three
The Last Guardian (sequel to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus)
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
It's sad, really. When I was a kid, even when I was a teenager, I would have had a dozen games I was looking forward to. Now ones that I care a jot about are few and far between.
