yeah that would be it...why would anyone want to put themselves into harms way over a couple of dollars worth of books...hell he has shown to be a pain when the books are free imagine what it is like when he has $5 on the line... I am sure that K C could help him out, but does he want the hassle...Hell every one on here probably has an extra set and might even just send it to him had he not had a bad experience with the last set of free books he was offered...myron wrote:relating to the last fiasco...I believe...ckb wrote:Why do you say that, Dawg?DawgPhan wrote:good luck with that..

Yup, I would have offered a free set just because every comic fan should read Unity. No way I'm dealing with the kind of hassle I've already seen here...

It sure is. It's hard to believe the guy would post another want list so soon after this whole rant on "why have I not gotten my free books" thing blew up in his face.myron wrote:it's all karma...baaaaaddddd karma coming ta get ya...Erskine71 wrote:DawgPhan wrote:yeah that would be it...why would anyone want to put themselves into harms way over a couple of dollars worth of books...hell he has shown to be a pain when the books are free imagine what it is like when he has $5 on the line... Alright, let's cut him some (more) slack.
Qbert, I'll sell you a complete Unity set. Just PM me for my home address, send me $495 and I'll send you the following:
All of the regular Unity issues, including the Lost Chapter
Unity 0 red
Unity 1 gold and plat
Unity saga 1-4
Diamond Unity trades 1 and 2
Deal?

I didn't see the need to make a big deal about that. I think it would have been wiser not to post that, sure. But from his point of view, he was actively seeking to acquire them, and then stopped when he thought they were on the way. He lost a month's time of trying to acquire them.myron wrote:relating to the last fiasco...I believe...ckb wrote:Why do you say that, Dawg?DawgPhan wrote:good luck with that..

Sorta kinda something you need to keep you ticked-offedness to yourself, though, I agree. Free is free.
I'm not going to do much of anything for $5, but I offered him a NMish set for $30 postage paid. I don't think it's an unreasonable retail price. It will take me an hour to gather the set and pack them up.
Anyway, not every post is going to be a wise one. We all live and learn.

That is actually a pretty darn good price for that set Woog, even leaving a good amout of room for condition issues.mrwoogieman wrote:Alright, let's cut him some (more) slack.

Just about guide, maybe. I used a value on the Diamonds at about $350, the rest I just guessed at really.ckb wrote:That is actually a pretty darn good price for that set Woog, even leaving a good amout of room for condition issues.mrwoogieman wrote:Alright, let's cut him some (more) slack.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
