Who Collects ALL Valiant & Acclaim Titles?

Post by Vault-Keeper »

I was just wondering how many others besides me collect the non-VH1 or VH2 Valiant & Acclaim titles? I'm talking about the Nintendo & WWF issues, plus the Windjammer & Armada titles, plus the in-between VH1 & VH2 titles like Bad Eggs, Sliders, Waterworld, etc. I'm pretty close to completion on everything ever published by Valiant/Acclaim. Just looking for a few more of these type issues.---Steve G

I do, but I have a lot to go.

My WWF and Nintendo are near complete, but VH2 and off-titles are not close.

Steve, I'm one away from finishing VH1 (thanks to you). In the process of deciding to go after Acclaim or not, and like CKB I'm not even close. I have some of the pre-hero Valiant Nintendo's, but don't have the WWF. I will go after those just because I LOVE the Valiant logo.

Great job getting as close as you have. Is there a list floating out there for the "in-between" titles that you talk about?

Crime comics and Windjammer

I bought all the crime titles that they put out, the Grackle and Armed & Dangerous. Actually some good reads, especially the Bob Hall stuff!
Also got all the Windjammer stuff I believe, but stayed away from Armada (not a Magic player).
I have Super Mario #1 somewhere if anybody needs it, don't even know where I got it from........

It's not 100% accurate, but a good place to look is the Mile High Comics web site. Just use the "small publisher search", input either Valiant or Acclaim (both will bring up the same listing). Once you get the company listing, it will ask you to search for a title. Instead, leave that field blank and just hit search. It will bring up a list of just about everything ever published by Valiant, Acclaim and their many imprints.

Again, take it with a grain of salt because there are things listed that don't exist (like an X-O Manowar hardcover book) but if there is a picture listed with a book, it's pretty safe to say it exists.

For those with the Acclaim collections, what'd you think of NIO? For some reason, this book just interests me and I'm wondering if it's worth anything.

I enjoyed N.I.O. and I wish that they had continued the character. I really wish they could have published R.A.I. as originally intended. Check out my interview with Joe St.Pierre (on my website, natch!) to learn about Rai, Bloodshot, NIO and other stuff.

I enjoy stories about alternate history & parallel worlds, so I automatically collected the Sliders comics.

I also collected Knighthawk (Windjammer).
