Re-Reading: X-O Manowar #32
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Decent enough fight. Obviously this guy was not meant to be any real problem for XO. Some more setting up for future stories.

It's nice to see a super villian pop up in this book.
This is the first non-repeating super villian that Aric has faced since Unity (!) and the first new super villian to premiere in this book since Lydia and her posse in X-O 1!
Krollos has cool looking armor and decent abilities and is the sort of character we should've been seeing all along in this book (what is it with Valiant's lack of villians?). Unfortantely unlike the Shooter-era days, Krollos is completely flat with no depth. We know nothing about him, which seems like a wasted opportunity to create a cool new villian. And ofcourse we'll never see him agian.
And we finally get to see what happened to Randy and Wolfbridge (long over due but nice none the less) and we begin the intriguing murder mystery/spy thriller sub plot which reads like a decent back up story (the adventures of Randy and friends!)
Decent stuff. A 7.

Here you have a Harbinger with spider alien ties and we get no back story.Todd Luck wrote:Krollos has cool looking armor and decent abilities and is the sort of character we should've been seeing all along in this book (what is it with Valiant's lack of villians?). Issue was good enough but they could have gave us more info on Krollos.
