Favorite Valiant Character / Book?

Post by Serpymatt »

Ok, being new here and all, I'm sure this topic has come up a million or so times, but I was just curious as to who everyone's favore characters / book are?

For me, it'd have to be Shadowman and Master Darque. Since I spent the first 23 years of my life in Louisiana, I thougth it was so cool that there was a comic that I could say "Hey, I've seen palces like that," and understand a lot of the themes of the stories.

Anyone else have any stand-outs?

I've always been partial to the futuristic elements from Magnus.

Rai is my fave, with the Harbinger kids second. Then Magnus, no Solar... no, A&A...... or X-O. No, Shadowman! Yeah, Shadowman............

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I really like X-o and Solar. It is a hard decision though because there are so many great characters!

Magnus until the war ended. Ninjak until Quesada left. X-O until
Shan-hara was destroyed.

We just got around to reviewing this issue a couple of days ago in the re-reading category. The story was OK, but I didn’t much care for the original armors destruction either.

What part of LA are you from, Matt? I currently live around Alexandria, went to college at Northwestern in Natchitoches, and went to HS around Leesville.

Shadowman is my favorite too.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

It's simple Shadowman was the most consistent title Valiant had going....

A BIG reason was a monthly schedual (birthquake :!: ) and keeping Bob Hall on the title untill he desided he was done.....sales had dropped off so badly he left Jack falling off the roof in case another writer was brought in.....at another time.

Shadowman for me and A&A a strong second.

Thats just VH-1 though

X-O
Harbinger
Shadowman
Bloodshot

... in that order. I think Shadowman stayed strong all the way through; those last X-Os were pretty bad.
