I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do

For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.

Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

I did manage to restrain myself from activating the issue's "moving cover."

Despite some attempts at commenting on the mangod issues, I dare say this is the least good issue in this story-line. Or maybe actually the comments even drag down the score, I don't like long explanations for things that should be in the story.

Can't do it anymore. I'm done with Solar.

What a wast of time.

This to me, is an issue that rates down in the anals of comicdom with Green Lantern 50. It's an issue that strips the heroism and humanity out of a hero. Atleast with GL 50 they had the good sense to switch characters when Hal was no longer a hero. No such logic here.

The world Solar creates is falling apart because the public found out about him. So what does he do? He basically tells a newly widowed woman "Thanks for helping me regain my humanity, I'm outta here" and flies off.

Wow, with great power comes no responsibility. It's like he doesn't even care.

He gets in a fight with his girlfriend, goes into exile for millinea, creates a world, screws it up, and leaves it without a second thought. How do I identify with this character? Where is the heroism in this hero?

It's just so dumb.

A 3 :x .

I wasn't impressed with the conclusion to this storyline, but then again I was not impressed with the beginning or middle either.
