Hmm, I've bought from him a couple of times. His shipping charges to Sweden were normal. Anyway, $20 will be neglectible compared to the final price. Right now we have a prime example of why sniping sadly is a necessity, and it is not finished yet. I could also see this appeal both to Valiant and Ditko fans.

I don't understand how this piece is a "prime example" why sniping is "a sad necessity". This isn't an item you see every day and there's not an average price that it should go for. It's a nice piece, and it's drawing bids from legitimate people that want it.If the price gets too high for you then you know to stay out of the action.Atleast this way you know if the bids get too high then you are out of the picture. And this way you don't have to sweat it out for a week and get caught up in the action at the last minute and pay way too much for something.

The piece itself is of course not an example of how people bid, but the bidding is. For a previous discussion see this link:

It should take you right to the relevant posts.

this auction has 15 bids on it now.The last 4 bids are from 4 different people. Not every auction just sits all week with 2 or 3 bids on it,and 10 snipers ready to bang it at the last second. On an auction like this, one that you don't see everyday on Ebay,I personally like to know early if the bidding gets past the point I want to go to.Than to have it end at a price that I know I would've paid more than I bid. This piece may never come back out of a collection. And if you think you are the only person watching it,and could possibly come in at the last second and win it...it's unlikely.Atleast now,it's at the point where it's gettin up there in price, the reserve hasn't been met,and you can see from the bidding there's more than 1 person going for it.
