I've been re-reading A&A and suddenly realized I recognized some of the "voices" I heard come from the characters. And I got to wondering if anybody else had certain distinct voices they "heard" when reading.

For instance, I hear John Goodman's voice coming from Armstrong. Ivar is Kurt Russel. She's a Marvel character, but Aunt May has my grandma's voice. Captain America is voiced by Patrick Warburton. I have others too.

Anybody else? Or am I just crazy?
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

If you gave Aric hugs and kisses, would it be XOXO X-O?

Arnold from Conan in Aric
Mel Gibson (the younger Lethal Weapon/Mad Max version) is Gilad
Owen Wilson is Woody

For a while Wesley Snipes played Quantum in my head but these days I'm thinking Vin Diesel (ducks)

Toby Mcguire's(sp?) voice is Sting.

And For Armstrong I always used John Cleese's voice.

Not true, if they did a "behind the scenes" documentary we could see him doing the voice......so there.

I have Fran Dressure as Vincent Van Goat :thumb:
www.myspace.com/lysband - Someday people will see me and say "Hey, aren't you that guy who sang that song?"

Some others of mine:

George Takai voices Harada

Catherine Bach (Daisy from the real Dukes of Hazzard) voices Flamingo

Steven Segal (with acting talent) voices Bloodshot

Kathy Bates' character from The Waterboy aged about 30 years and is the voice of Nettie

For Woody, I had Woody Harrelson, but I think Owen Wilson is even better! Quantum is Denzel Washington an octave lower (not quite James Earl Jones low).

I use John Cleese too, but in a more serious tone and as Neville Alcott. I think Michael Cain would be better, but I still end up hearing a serious John Cleese.

Y'all have some great suggestions, though! Fran Dresser as Vincent Van Goat!
