I've got Rai 1 through 4 , 6 ,7 , & 8.

At the end of 4 Rai was going to leave Japan . 6 picks up with him crash landing with his baby son.

Rai is a really good read. You have to feel sorry for him. Everyone hates him and even his dad doesn't want to support him. He was the first " hero " I've seen to ever be lost in his own comic book.

Of course , he was the 2nd Valiant Hero to Die . ( harbinger 6 was 1st )

The UNITY Rai's were great. By then he had even lost Japan. He betray his honor of protecting japan to help have the world. By the time he died , he had lost everything. even though he tried not to.

" MY PEOPLE !!! " ..... decides to protect the universe....." My PEOPLE " ........ BOOM.... japan crashes back to earth !

Anything specifically you want to know about issue 5? Basically Rai leaves Japan and takes Takashi with him. Seko sabatoges his ship so that it rockets them out to space and strands them there with no power. With no working air system, Rai and Takashi will suffocate to death slowly. In order for for Takashi to live longer, Rai plans to kill himself to conserve air (this is what is pictured on the cover). Then a light bulb goes off in Rai's head. What if he channels his "spirit" power into the engines? He does that and gives them the boost they need to get back to Earth. They crash land and find Gilad and Geof waiting.

The original Rai was a great character and next to Magnus he's one of my favorites. It's too bad they decided to let Erica kill him off.

This is also the issue where Kazuyo (Rai's wife) gets her hand chopped off
(she's seen fighting without it on the cover of Rai #8), and it is actually
Gilad and Rokland Tate waiting for Rai when he crash lands.
(It's the first appearance of both Rokland Tate and "future Gilad".)

Yeah, I meant Rokie, not Geoff. Thanks for for catching my typo/brain fart :thumb: .
