Yeah baby,
I'm off to Dallas Texas for five days.
Hopefully it won't storm that far in.

I hope to check the boards a couple times while I'm gone.
In the meantime, I hope all is chill. Check out the Chang art
I posted in the Valiant Art section today:
http://www.valiantfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7650
Makes me happy, hopefully you too.

I'll be at a managers conference for Game Stop. Should be
a good time. Vendor presentations, demos, giveaways, freebies, etc.
This will be my first time at a GS conference. Hopefully they
party like the Musicland Crew did back in the day. I had a blast
at those things.

To keep this Valiant related, I'll ask Buena Vista, if given the opportunity,
about the Turok video game license they acquired.

Rock on,
DAN

BTW Check out the Valiant swag I'm hawkin' on eBay this week too.

God help you all, I'm watching the news right now and it appears to have elevated to a Category 5 Hurricane! You guys keep us posted as to your conditions man, I would hate to find out you guys got hurt. They are saying that this is the #3 largest storm ever recorded, so really all ya'll out there in the Gulf area and outlying areas, be safe, if you get an evacuation notice, learn from New Orleans, just go and worry about the dumb stuff later. Keep in touch, guys. DEan, don't get stranded Bro'. :thumb:

Jaknife, Good Luck! :hope:
Good morning.

Hey Guys,
Just a heads up, I made it back from the conference in Dallas.
I had a wonderful time. The weather passed us to the east and things
went smooth at the airport.

I had the opportunity to meet Tony Hawk! And also Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca from the Star Wars movies).
Since I grew up skateboarding and as a Star Wars fan it was a dream come true.
I had the chance to play some upcoming games and scored some nice
promos etc.

Colin Quinn was a special guest as well and was totally hilarious.
He hung around for a few days and had plenty of relevant material to
keep us all laughing.

Since it was our last day, I partied till 3:30am last night with my boys. I had to leave for the Dallas airport at 6:00 this morning. :o
So I'm rollin' with about 2 1/2 hours of sleep and am now gonna take a well needed nap.

Later tonight I'll post a really cool Valiant item that I got
in the mail while I was gone. Something very rare I've been trying to find
for several years! Hint, only 100 of these were made 8-)

Rock on!

Dan,

Glad to see you back safely... the hurricane seemed like it was
heading the direction of Dallas most of the week.
I didn't know how that might affect your trip.

Welcome back Dan. Glad you had a good time. Meeting Tony Hawk must have been a blast.

That Valiant item doesnt happen to come in a wooden box?

He was nice enough to sign the back of one of my biz cards. :)
