so about $25.00 for the lot......and thats CANADIAN baby, lol

These were $1.00:

Not on Ebay. It was from that guy who was giving his books away. The 15 was for shipping and handling via Fex Ex

It didn't matter to me the shipping as the total was $15.00 :!:

$0.00 for books + $15.00 shipping via Fed Ex next day = $15.00 total. A very good deal. I could sell the Harbinger 1 for that much alone.

Thats not bad at all,, especially for FedEx Next day. Just wonder, why choose Next day when Media is such a nice cheap way to get books :?:

Why would the postal service handle it differently than they usually do just because you go Media Mail?

Guess it's not statistically safe, but I have the feeling there's as much damaged packages with priority as with media. By coincidence, the best shipping I've ever had was with media (USPS by themselves added an extra protective layer).

I have often heard people say that if you insure a package then the gorillas are brought out.

I always ship with priority mail USPS in an oversized box with some bubble wrap, even if it is just a single book because it costs the same in the box as in the envelope. I have had many books I have purchased damaged in shipping, even with cardboard on both sides and then eveloped, etc.

The guy standing next to me just about fainted when I bought them. What a prick.

(For the humor impared, see Peter's thread posted today. Futher clariifcation - I was not in NYC today.)

they won't...trust me guys, hate to burst your bubble, but they throw everything...and i mean everything.

im an IT contractor w/the postal service...ive seen them sort packages for delivery. the only thing that doesn't get tossed around is registered mail. only because the carrier has to sign for the package so there really isn't a point in throwing it. :)

I know this isn't a Valiant title, but it was still good anyway. Shadowman V3 #4 for $.50. I was quite pleased. Last summer I got a Unity 2000 set 1-3 for $1 each.

All pre-Unity and Unity comics, somewhere between cover and 25% off cover.

I was at the Chicago Comicfest in Rosemont on Saturday. One dealer was selling trades at 20% off cover price. I couldn't believe it when I found a beautiful mint copy of the Predator/Magnus trade in there for less than cover price! Also, a couple weeks ago I scored a very nice Solar 10 first print for $3. Mile High comcs had an awesome sale last week where I snapped up Magnus issue #2-8 (with coupons) for 1.40 each.
