It didn't matter to me the shipping as the total was $15.00dave wrote:$15 for shipping??!??! oh man you got ripped....waaaaah! oh that's horrible! that's waaaaaaaaaaaay to much for shipping
i'm crying over here!
$0.00 for books + $15.00 shipping via Fed Ex next day = $15.00 total. A very good deal. I could sell the Harbinger 1 for that much alone.
Guess it's not statistically safe, but I have the feeling there's as much damaged packages with priority as with media. By coincidence, the best shipping I've ever had was with media (USPS by themselves added an extra protective layer).Knightt_333 wrote:BUT I dont think they get the tender loving attention that priority or First Class get. I get a priority mail package in... looks great. I have gotten Media Mail packages in... looks like a gorilla played with it for three hours.
I have often heard people say that if you insure a package then the gorillas are brought out.

I was at Midtown Comics today in NYC, and I bought a Harbinger 4 and Solar 10 1st for $50 + tax. I thought this was a great deal.
The guy standing next to me just about fainted when I bought them. What a prick.
(For the humor impared, see Peter's thread posted today. Futher clariifcation - I was not in NYC today.)

they won't...trust me guys, hate to burst your bubble, but they throw everything...and i mean everything.magnusr wrote:
Why would the postal service handle it differently than they usually do just because you go Media Mail?

im an IT contractor w/the postal service...ive seen them sort packages for delivery. the only thing that doesn't get tossed around is registered mail. only because the carrier has to sign for the package so there really isn't a point in throwing it.

I was at the Chicago Comicfest in Rosemont on Saturday. One dealer was selling trades at 20% off cover price. I couldn't believe it when I found a beautiful mint copy of the Predator/Magnus trade in there for less than cover price! Also, a couple weeks ago I scored a very nice Solar 10 first print for $3. Mile High comcs had an awesome sale last week where I snapped up Magnus issue #2-8 (with coupons) for 1.40 each.
