Happy 1st Anniversary to Magnus #0 VcVSS!

Post by Vault-Keeper »

It was on this day a year ago that Sonic Dan was the 1st fan to post receiving his copy of Magnus #0 VcVSS from Dino!

Even though, due to a mistake in communication, 36 out of the 40 copies had to be sent back to Bob Layton for his signature, 3 copies that had both signatures were still mailed out to Dan, Justin (Arch), & Red_Rum (Wesley), because they had been personialized by Bob. So, other than Dino's copy, this officially marks the date that the first person received a VcVSS from the director of a VcVSS project!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY VcVSS!

Hey Dan! I was hoping you'd be one of the first to see this thread! I didn't get my beautiful copy until August 5th! Alot of people had to wait until later in August to get their's because Dino was in Hong Kong.

And yes, time does fly! It hasn't been that long ago that you were signing copies of Joe P.'s Valiant: 1999 & Beyond for your artwork contributions! Here's to many more years of Valiant fun! :thumb:---Steve

I dont know...all I see is fighting...we bicker on here about who should get what and how much and what they can do with it. VIP and DNV are fighting over who owns valiant. We cant do the things we used to do, and things just seem to be in turmoil all the time. I liked it when no one cared about valiant and it wasnt worth anything. Everything was cool on the boards and we all got along...now we fight about everything...hell it probably would have been worse if zeph had been posting a lot in the last month and a half.

Dawg you need to look at the bright side, the silver lining if you will. A lot of very cool fan projects have come out of this site VcVSS, ASH, your Bloodshot print, the Turok Evolution books and Dan's Turok set. Projects that would not have come about without the fans who remember what Valiant was and can be again.

Zeph is passionate about this site and what this community represents. he doesn't want to see it cheapened. Neither do you. You guys might not agree on everything but who does?

We've rekindled the Valiant magic on this site and I don't want to see it lost because of infighting. The VcVSS issue is sticky because it represents different things to different members. Some view it as a holy grail of Valiant collecting, a sign of the greatness of this community. Some see it as a nice book, no big deal. And others see it as a payday. I guarantee everyone of the 40-50 people who have these books feel a bit different about them.

I think we should look at the positive side of what we have here and enjoy it.

You know, you're probably right.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, though.

Oh, and for contributing to the ill will you're whining about. Don't like it? Then why contribute to it with comments like that? That's just stupid.

Ah, *SQUEE* it Dawg. Change happens.

Why else would your boys be whipping the *SQUEE* out of my boys; it wasn't like that 10 years ago.

I love these fan projects. I don't give a flying *SQUEE* what anybody else does with theirs, but they're still pretty GD cool. I'm kinda *SQUEE* off that they might be stopping ... I'd get one every month if I could, these are a hell of a lot better than the ones Valiant offered back in the day.

I say keep 'em coming. And if for legal reasons we have to stop, I say take this thing underground. In fact, if it's decided these are against the rules, I'll gladly run the first uvcvss (underground vcvss). And I'll include a DVD of all the Valiant comics with every order.
