Hellboy movie

Post by twofour »

The movie was pretty good and had some funny moments in it. It was action packed and computer animated stuff was good. Go see it people!!!

I was going to go last night, but the girlfriend shot that idea down in flames. *Ouch*

Is the actor that plays Hellboy the same as the Vampire that did'nt like Blade in BladeII? The one that Blade put the mine on the back of his head?

I saw it, and I thought it was very very average, wish I had gone and seen walking tall instead.

It's already out???

Movies come out a few months later here than in the States...

Is it worth seeing? Is it like the comics at all?

I saw them both, I liked Walking Tall quite a bit more ... but Hellboy was worth the time and $$$ to see it on the big screen. I'm sure I will have to endure 13 Going on 30 or some similar garbage to make up for this weekends flicks, but oh well.

any american comic book that hits theatres is purely crapulous, sucktacular, and craptastic. most contemporary movies in theatres are low brow entertainment geared to low iq'd teenie tards. i havent read an issue of hellboy, but cummon!
no wonder everyone wants you gone.

anyway, no i havent seen it. but i plan to. i must be the only guy who thought the hulk was pretty good, not great, but better than the first xmen movie. im a sucker for animation.

Yea, I totally agree with you there - you must be the only guy thinking that.

I realize that X1 was primarily an intro and an education for the public masses who don't know a ton about the X universe, so I didn't judge too harshly. To me, it seemed like just enough to educate the masses and appeal to the existing fans.

I really wanted to like the Hulk, but I feel like it would have benefitted greatly from waiting another year or two and taking advantage of better special effects. They were good, I just think that it should have been better on the Hulk character.

Woogie is digging hard still I can't believe how little was talked about this movie. I'll add my 2 pennies. I liked Hellboy. Greatest movie ever? Nope. But it was a lot of fun. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars in the realm of comic book movies.

Hellboy was great. It looked beautiful. Great action. Good story. Quirky dialog. Lots and lots of respect for the subject matter. And a lot changes from the comic that actually made sense and worked for this version of the character. It definately rates very highly for me on movie adaptions :thumb: .

You can probably buy it at Walmart now for under $10, it's good enough to watch more than once.

When looking for Hellboy just keep in mind that there is a normal version and a much longer uncut version . The special edition is the normal version and the director's cut is the uncut version. I got suckered into the normal edition. Still a decent DVD but I was a little surpised.

I got it for free from Blockbuster. It was worth at least twice that.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I really enjoyed this movie. Good acting and a good plotline. In fact I enjoyed it so much I went and bought the Seed of Destruction TPB which was fantastic! :thumb:

Whoa, back-up, Screw-On Head is on DVD???

Yeah they're all A+ top notch stuff. I really enjoyed both Hellboy animated movies and Screw-On Head (there was only one episode right?).
