Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe - Finale.

(I'll try to post images later).

This reveal about Silk and Ivar is interesting.

There was a place introduced in Shadowman Vol. 1 #28 called "the Dragon Maze" which I've long theorized could have been used as a bridge between VH-1 and VH-2 (as well as VEI).

Resurgence does something like that when we see VEI Sandria, VEI Jack, and Punk Mambo walk across a darken pathway and they cross paths with Michael Leroi.

(multiverses are BAD, though. I truly hope they find something more original for this than what we've seen before from Acclaim and constantly see from DC and Marvel).

What Tama does to Gilad is very cool.

So, to extend the lives of the people of VEI and resurrect the dead Silk is transferring energies from other realities such as VH-1 and VH-2 to his reality.

That's good. Makes sense.

Not quite like The Prestige, but that's what comes to mind in a way; for one to live others must die.

And now we get to what I long suspected we'd see, a glimpse of the VALIANT multiverse showing events and heroes from VH-1, VH-2, VALIANT Beyond, and, surprisingly, the live-action Ninjak vs The VALIANT Universe.

I previously theorized we'd see this from Divinity's perspective and that would be his contribution to the event, but instead it ended up being Faith.

I'm surprised that VALIANT's resident comic book nerd didn't compare this to DC's multiverse and Crisis events. She's found herself in a similar position to Power Girl during Infinite Crisis.

Is this the first time they meet Shadowman? I cannot recall. I know he's met other VALIANT heroes.

As Resurgence comes to a close it leaves the narrative on two parellel tracks;

One follows the heroes trapped in the Undeadside on the hunt for Darque while faced with undead variants of their friends (and, presumably, themselves?), and another that follows a reborn Silk left in the VEI Universe's Earth rejoicing that the heroes have vanished (though not ALL of them. Faith and Aram seemingly remained behind, as did Tama).

Their story is certainly not over, and there is no reason to believe that the Earth Silk was left behind on will become the VALIANT Beyond Universe, particularly since Faith's glimpse of the multiverse conclusively showed it's not.

I for one like the artwork. I think it's the best Alien has done to date.

On one final point, NO MORE COSMIC STORIES LIKE THIS, please.

I for one prefer it when VALIANT stories are more down to Earth.

Remember when an issue of Eternal Warrior focused on his inability to enter the US because of issues with his passport?

Just because these heroes are immortals, psiots, cosmic beings, etc, it does not mean all their stories have to be dialed up to 11. Some 2s, 3s, and 4s can be fun too.

Solar, for example, was a God striving to be a man. Let's see more of that type of stuff.

I wish the zombies in the Undeadside had been the ones from VH-2 instead of variants of VEI. It could have been the Troublemakers or something. Link it to Mike Leroi's appearance.

When last we saw Mike Leroi with his shirt off he no longer had the mask of shadows embedded on his chest.

You see, essentially Silk used the Boon to do the same thing that Ivar did in Ur.

When Ivar activated the Boon, the life forces of EVERYONE in Ur went into Aram, which is what made him immortal.

What Silk did was the same thing but on a multiversal scale, in which the life forces of everyone in the multiverse went into the inhabitants of Earth in the VEI reality the same way the life forces of everyone in Ur went into Aram.

The lingering question I think would be how he was able to tap into the multiverse in the first place. The Boon alone wouldn't have been enough for that.
