I think I saw a similar auction from 'Brettstuff' where the the pre unity Harbinger run went for about $70 just recently. That breaks down to $10 a book which really isn't a stretch. Harbinger #1 goes above $10 routinely on ebay now it seems. Of all the pre unitys the Harbingers and maybe Rai 2, 3, 4 seem to be the hardest to get. I think the price increases are starting to reflect that.
I said it once and I'll say it again- Harbinger #1 is gold!

I sold my Valiants at a show back in like 94 and even setting them on the table at half price a lot of the issues were selling for $20 to $50 dollars

Man those were the days, but the funny thing is the books are just as great to own now regardless of a $100 price tag or a $1.00 price tag. :D

While I do not think it is a stretch, I do think it is just about the highest in the past year for Harbinger 1-7. I am not comparing it to heyday prices.

This week in particular was good for pre-unity valiant comics. I suspect it will only get better but time will tell.

No you've got the idea. It was a 2nd print newstand edition variant WalMart edition. Not to be confused with the rarer chromium double-flipbook signed die-stamped holo cover that random WalMarts received.

:)
