Most Expensive Valiant.
To rebirth the older post, what was the most $$ you paid for while collecting valiant issues?
I just recently slapped down $42 for Harbinger #0 pink. Last month it was $30 for Unity 0 red. But you know what? I have them now so to hell with all of you who wouldn't sell your shares when you have 10 copies!
Otherwise, I've been spending $1-5 for regulars and $10 for variants.

I spent $12 for Magnus #1 back in the day and was happy to get it at that price. Where was Ebay back then? I paid cover or less for everything else. I got all of my premium books the old fashion way - either as dealer getting the premium books for the various incentives, or hitting up the guys in NYC for some free books. At my store we used have regular signings by some the guys on Knob Row and used to sell a ton of books.
The biggest amount of "real money" I've paid for a Valiant was for the Alpha & Omega Hardcover I got from ckb a couple of weeks ago (it still hasn't arrived - international shipping is a b*tch!). I won't say how much I paid since I'm not sure he wants me to disclose that info.
Now if we count trades too, I won't even mention the books I gave to a friend last month to get his two Unity Limited Trades. Let's just say their total value was in the ballpark of $350-400 and leave it at that..
(Note to self: MUST SEND INVENTORY UPDATE TO GREG)

Two years ago I paid $15.00 for a Harbinger# 4 in NM! In the end it more than worked out in my favor, CGC graded it a NM 9.4 White, and noted on the label..."Blank Coupon Edition"
which is still the only graded copy of its kind

Be sure to email me when that thing decides to float in there....
I passed it on to sakaridis for $25 + shipping to Greece, which was what I had just paid as part of another deal. (It was unsealed with slight wear, but complete with an untouched poster).
