I have many pre unity valiants that i want to sell but have a couple problems or questions that i think o ly you all could help with:
1. All of my books went direct from Valiant as published to Mrs. Shooter to me never handled by a comic book shop or spent time on the shelf. Because I got multiples, I read one copy to death and destruction and put the multiples away. I'm sure some will at least by 9.8 and others that did not suffer publishing defects might come back from CGC higher, if thats possible. Asking those of you with selling experience and particularly CGC experience, should I spend the time and money to grade or list at a third the graded price or so? I thought screen 25 books at 9.8 equals $125 and then gladly pay the graded price but not sure.
2. I know this might not be the best time to sell but ots a good time for me. I want less stuff around, Ive enjoyed the stories over and over and I have enough to keep a run for myself. I also thinks, maybe naively, that its time to pass the opportunity to another reader/collector. Plus whent he books first came put, I had ,any more and made a lot of money selling at the height of the insanity, altjough it looks like there have been a few periods of high value. Should I wait to sell?
and finally....
3. Ebay undoubtedly is the way to go but I know ,any sell right here on the boards ad I'd prefer offering a few here. Does valiantfans.com get a percent or fee when selling here?

Selling right now with the movie trailer out is the best time in my view.

Screening books with CGC is really difficult unless you've done it before. I've graded about 6K+ books with them at this point (2-3K+ Valiant alone), and I am still imperfect. You can make expensive mistakes.

Ebay is great, as are sales here (with no fees!).

I recommend sending good scans or photos of the books. I'm happy to look at them. You can DM me, and I may be interested in your books.

These look like these are in nice shape, but I’d stay away from submitting them to CGC. There are some spine and corner defects that will prevent these from being 9.8s. Great books though!

I agree. You should prescreen if you don't have an experienced person to look at them in hand.

decided to prescreen .......figure 25 minimum comics equals 125 bucks then 9.8 then each comic x cost for grade.....i have many copies and will pick the best ones after looking closely...i know it will be 4 or 5 month wait but really dont want to risk losing money selling raw.....i figure at the most if none grade i lose 125 bucks.....i sold so many at the height 27 years ago i can wait a few months and spend a few bucks...thanks everyone for advice and for offers to buy....see you after the holidays maybe!
