Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT November 2017 Solicitations
Interesting, they must have gotten a bunch of flack from customers that didn't like the pre-pay like Bloodshot 1-12. I thought for certain it was a hit, but I guess getting that 13th book wasn't enough of a draw. Still, love the pre-pay format and will continue to do so with the 1-4 of this series, as well as the others.

Looks like another Brush Metal variant with Ninja-K #1. I was hoping my X-O #1 Brush Metal variant was going to be rare, but it looks like this is the new normal. This will be the third Brush Metal variant cover.

Dinesh Tweeted out that this was going to be the 3rd and final brushed metal cover, for 2017 anyway.

We also know that there will be a shameless plug for "getting something extra by destroying your comic books" ala Harbinger Renegade, but much worse for Quantum and Woody.nycjadie wrote:Dinesh Tweeted out that this was going to be the 3rd and final brushed metal cover, for 2017 anyway.
Also, don't be surprised if Shadowman (March) gets one too.

Classic Ninjak Omnibus released in November
Amazon pre-order price is now $80.66. I hope some folks got in on this when it was $68.66

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT November 2017 Solicitations
I want to get the pre-order bundle Ninja-K but I'm really not liking that cover...
Does seem quite light-on in terms of number of titles - but the quality is there for sure!
Monthlies I'll be getting:
Bloodshot Salvation (pre-ordered)
Ninja-K (pre-order bundle most likely)
Might get:
Harbinger Renegade #0 (still not sold on this yet)
Trade waiting:
X-O
Eternity
War Mother (maybe)

What makes you say that? There hasn't been any indication that it hasn't worked out for them. My lcs orders me all the pre-order editions, including the one for Salvation! (12 issues)

I'd also like to know where this is coming from. Over here in Australia Valiant gets minimal shelf space for new releases and back issues get relegated to the upper storage level only to be accessible for back issue sale days BUT the my LCS did say there was 5 customers who had ordered the Bloodshot pre-order bundle which is a great resultagent_graves wrote:TheeBaldMoose wrote:Interesting, they must have gotten a bunch of flack from customers that didn't like the pre-pay like Bloodshot 1-12. Wow that's really good news! At my LCS in Omaha (and another one in Omaha) they order a handful of the X-O preorder bundles along with the regular covers, just because it's the same price and they have enough customers that care about X-O that much.Bl00dsh0t wrote:I'd also like to know where this is coming from. Bloodshot by Lemire is an already well established series and product. Ninja-K by Gage is not. I can see why one is getting a 12-issue and the other one a 4-issue bundle.

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT November 2017 Solicitations
At the shop I go to, X-O and Secret Weapons are the biggest-selling Valiant books and both have pre-order editions. Might just be coincidence. I know Dinesh said a while back that demand on these has been crazy.
I already pre-order everything Valiant through DCBS and if Valiant went and did these for every series, I would do it. It's the same cost and I get 8 pages of extra content and I like the extra content.

Guys, pure speculation, that's all. Instead of going the route they went with Bloodshot (a full year, which I prefer), they went back to the XO Manowar way (per arc, which is still fine). Like you, I have seen a rise in individuals purchasing these at my LCS (4 I think), and that's awesome!
I see what you are saying there, Gage is not a known entity, yet Ninjak surely is. I have no problem with going back to the arc pre-sale, as I love the 8 extra pages, just sort of assumed Ninja-k would have gotten much the same treatment as Bloodshot Salvation.Sunlight on Snow wrote:Same here at my LCS in Germany.
