Your Favorite VEI Ongoing?
Now that we're starting a new "era" of Valiant comics this year, I thought it would be fun to look back and see what the community's favorite ongoings were. I decided to add Divinity for the 15th spot, because there's been 12 issues (16, including one-shots), whereas Gen. Zero and Eternal Warrior only had 9 and 8 issues respectively.
I voted for Harbinger and A&A.
The results so far:
1) Imperium (14)
2) Harbinger (10)
3) Archer & Armstrong (9)
/ X-O Manowar (9)
Ivar, Timewalker (5)
Bloodshot Reborn (5)
Divinity (5)
Ninjak (3)
Bloodshot (2)
Shadowman (2)
Unity (1)
Wrath of the Eternal Warrior (1)
Faith (1)
Rai (0)
A+A (0)
Quantum & Woody (forgot to add this in the poll
)

Tough choice, but I chose X-O and Bloodshot Reborn.

Re: Your Favorite VEI Ongoing?
XO without a doubt for me in the #1 spot, but I was really torn between two series for the #2 spot:
Divinity on a whole has been great, but I really enjoyed Bloodshot prior to BS:R...
Had to be Bloodshot based purely on 'enjoyment/entertainment factor', rather than 'quality storytelling'

Even though I didn't vote for it due the existence of Imperium, Ivar, and Rai, let's NOT forget that Wrath of the Eternal Warrior was quite impressive!

Ninjak, dudes! Come on! From non-Valiant fans, I hear the most love for Ninjak, and I think it's a great run.

X-O Manowar and Harbinger for me! Although, I could have gone with Ninjak and Imperium.

Re: Your Favorite VEI Ongoing?
With so many great books, but only two votes, I had to ride out with my favorites, because one of them might not get a vote otherwise, a real shame.
Shadowman...#0 & #10 It hasn't been two better issues yet, imho of course. Imperium #7 & #8, the only two issues I can think of, that even come close. For me, that makes up for the rest of the debacle, in that second half of the run, and End Times!
Divinity... Has gotten better with each mini, story/art/inks/colors, the whole team. It's Amazing!
Rounding out my top 5...
Imperium... This book was so good, it hurt to see it cancelled. Superb Sh!t!
Rai... No votes for Rai, really?! This book kicks *SQUEE*. Lula Lee and Spylocke, great characters.
Ninjak...I think Kindt milked the Shadow Seven a bit much overall during his run, but still, it was consistently good. Colin King, the charming *SQUEE*, gotta love that guy.

Re: Your Favorite VEI Ongoing?
Divinity and Imperium have both been amazing, but for me it's all about the feeling of enjoyment so although it kinda kills me to only have two votes and not vote for these two comics, I still feel my votes were put in the right place for me with XO and Bloodshot

Re: Your Favorite VEI Ongoing?
Harbinger is for sure my #1 pick. #2 was a tough call between 2012 X-O Manowar and 2012 Archer & Armstrong. I gave it to X-O barely due to the longer series length and the epic space content of the series.

1. Archer & Armstrong
2. Harbinger (I count Imperium as a continuation of Harbinger)
3. Ivar, Timewalker
4. XO Manowar
5. Divinity
In fairness, I haven't finished the Reborn run yet, but it is good.

I loved Rai, but it's not in my top two. If the poll were for best artwork in a series, then Rai would be on top for me at least!jmatt wrote:Yeah, I was torn there. I took X-O and Imperium. Re: Your Favorite VEI Ongoing?
Josh Dysart still claims the top two spots for my personal favourite VEI series to date. There are certainly other strong contenders such as FVL's A&A or Ivar, Timewalker - but no one else has quite the same level of craft in their storytelling as Dysart to me.
