So I started a YouTube Channel
Hey guys,
I have kicked around this idea for awhile and finally made it happen.
Going to be doing something Valiant every week.
Video #1 we started with Harbinger (2012) Vol.1. I am introducing my buddy Jared to Valiant and it's been pretty fun. Keep in mind this is our first video and are still learning. Would appreciate the support, and thanks for watching it if you do, and big thanks if you want to subscribe to it.

Thanks

Watched both the Harbinger and the new XO review. My preference would be to stick to reviewing new stuff/discussing current hot topics (like a news round up). The old trades/introducing them to a new reader format has already been done on the Valiant Effort podcast. As good as the old stuff is the new books gets me more interested.
How about discussing Divinity III or Harby Renegade?
Good luck fellas

I had thought about doing a live video once a week or once a month to talk hot topics and news, allowing for people to chat into the conversation. Would that be of interest to anyone?
Thank you!otomo wrote:Nice, will look

I am thinking we do a "Who is Bloodshot?" to get ready for Salvation.

Re: So I started a YouTube Channel
Personally, I like the idea of discussing the old trades, and while the Valiant Effort Podcast did already cover that, it's now gone (podcasts are no longer available for some reason).
Reviewing the newer stuff is fine for current readers (and yet, there are many more podcasts that cover that, even on a weekly basis), but a great goal would be to bring newer readers into Valiant which often means getting them to start with the older material.
A mixture like you mentioned (perhaps reviewing, say, Britannia or even Savage which releases later this month) would be a good combination -- especially if you pick trades like those two that can basically stand alone for a new reader.

We are wanting to and will work with the podcasts to help build both our audiences at some point. Some people don't listen to podcast and some don't watch YouTube, so changing the form of media may introduce a potential new reader.
We plan on covering some other titles from other publishers, that could also have some see a Valiant video and

I know with the movie news coming recently, I can see a lot of new potential readers asking "Who is Archer and Armstrong." "Who is this Bloodshot guy?"
Be on the look out for some things in the next couple weeks & TODAY!

I'd also recommend Quantum & Woody. They supposedly have an upcoming television series and are, for all intents and purposes, "on the shelf" currently. There are four trades that reprint the original series and four trades that cover the VEI material (which doesn't require any previous knowledge of the Valiant Universe).WhoDoo wrote:Thank you Zhuge1 !!!Zhuge1 wrote:Personally, I like the idea of discussing the old trades, and while the Valiant Effort Podcast did already cover that, it's now gone (podcasts are no longer available for some reason).

You and I both my friend. I don't even have the voice. At-least I have the body for a McDonald's Commercial, or the before image of a Weight Watchers Ad.TheeBaldMoose wrote:So very down!
