Harbinger Wars 2 - Going big?

Post by Thegreatmagnet »

It seems like HW2 is going to be the big event next year, and things are building up towards it. I just hope that they really go big with the event and tie in multiple titles, like they did in the original Harbinger Wars.

Obviously, Harbinger Renegade will tie in, and Dinesh has said that Generation Zero will appear in the story. It would make sense to include Secret Weapons and Faith, being psiot books, as well as Dysart's next title. But beyond those, I really hope we see some non-psiot characters also getting involved, if it's a major event in the universe. Perhaps Bloodshot will return and bring the Bloodshot Squad along with the ride...

Does anyone think there's a chance of seeing Ninjak, Tampa, Gilad, A&A, H.A.R.D. corps, Armorines, etc. in HW2?

Archer being a psiot could pull in A&A. HARD Corps makes sense. Maybe Armorines. Other than that it depends on who the other side of the war is.

Who is 'Tampa'?? Did I miss a new character introduction somewhere?

Bloodshot will be in there without a doubt. That character gets *SQUEE* out for practically every event  Maybe Armourines and HARD Corps?

I'll put a 'wild card' bet on Dr. Mirage 'cos y'know, powers 'n *SQUEE*

Sorry to interrupt... what about this year? Is it already too late for an announcement or is Rapture going to be (turned into) this year's event title?

HWARS2 - Bloodshot, Divinity, Livewire, and Aric will return to Earth just in time to kick some *SQUEE*! *SQUEE* gets squee'ed?

SQUEE, SQUEE!..."rapture" its gonna be a stand-alone event on his own, so no worries

But i read somewhere, that "secret weapons" its key for the road to HW 2

I don't think there's any set rule that VEI have to do a summer event every year and I think it'd make fools of us all to assume there'll be one every year.

Maybe they're skipping it this year to concentrate on other stuff? I think there's an unusually high focus on XO Manowar this year, so perhaps the company thought an event might draw attention away from the heavy push they're giving XO?

Same here. I don't need an 'event' every summer. The X-O relaunch will fill the bill.

I would rather not have an event than try to make it something bigger than it is.
4001 felt that way for me.
I'm really looking forward to Harbinger Wars #2 I really miss bloodshot and hope he takes a lead some how.
I hope Aric stays on his own adventure it's nice to have a challenge for the rest of Earth should make fore some good reading.
Go Harada protocol phase 2
I Miss the good old days.

I'm with you guys. I don't need a mega event every year either. When it comes to Rapture I think I'm still hoping for something (?? ongoing) coming out of it immediately; without further delay. It would be my personal event of the year.

XO-Manowar - Aric will be in the far reaches of the galaxy for more than a year and that's going to be a very long time. Aric will return to Earth eventually and what better reason than HWARS2? It's an option.

In comics that's like a day and a half.
