Does anyone care to blindly speculate on who will comprise the team in Secret Weapons? :?

I really don't expect this team to be very different from Unity except for the addition of the Geomancer assuming the new Secret Weapons will be a mixture of the 90s title and Unity. My dream team would be a slightly older Tama, Gilad, Livewire, Sunlight, and GIN-GR along with a random cast of "secret" weapons depending on the case and story line. These 5 would be fun to watch. Not sure if Ninjak has to be on the team at the beginning... as long as he's still having his own book.

Who I'd like to see again at some point is Doctor Eclipse... with a brand new origin.

This could go in a few directions:

1. A Unity rehash of sorts with a mix of old and new members. Maybe more Avengers/JLA of the VALIANT Universe than before. Livewire and GINGR would be the carry-overs/anchors. Writer: VDitti or Kind-T (Odds = 2-1)

2. A team book set in 4001. This would fill the gap left by Rai's end and include some of the 4001 crew (Spylocke, etc) and some new characters. The pending addition of Psi-Lords could eliminate this possibility. Writer: Kind-T (Odds 5-1)

3. A team of time-travelers. This was partially set up at the end of Timewalker, as Neela recruited some post-BOD Unity team to help her with a mission. Perhaps this will tie into many of the BoD plot points and one-shot futures. Writer: Vditti or FVL (odds 25-1)

Pure speculation at this point, but I think a spin off to the Unity team concept would be the best use of this title. As some have said, a team shake up with some old (Livewire & GIN-GR) and some new would be cool to see. And give them a reason to have to do more missions in secret...

Personally, I'm hoping for half Suicide Squad/half Justice League International -- aka obscure characters mixed with questionable good bad guys.

In my "if I wrote for Valiant" dreamworld, they would be the kept underwraps strike team (hence the Secret Weapons codename) sent in by GATE/MERO/MI-6 for the more ugly stuff... things they'd rather keep UNITY away from for public image reasons. Cast would include the Myth from The United, Hive and Traveler from Gen Zero, Malgam, and Doctor Tomorrow amongst others.
Good Morning, that's a nice tnetennba.
The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in...

I'm guessing Tama because of the VH1 series and because Mico's been drawing her recently. And I think Gilad may participate to protect her.

I'd also like to see the Doctors Mirage, and Roku. Maybe some other characters that haven't been featured recently. Maybe Deathmate?

Remender's "Uncanny X-Force" style of team. Very cool.
The dirtiest, most hardcore missions that involve killing and torturing and kidnapping and all that is "not legal, but effective" (THIS IS COMICS, not RL).
Ninjak leads this, joined by Malgam (good call! :thumb: ), Roku (will she be a villain???), Mambo and Gilad or Bloodshot. Prob the former, since the lack of ongoing, right now. But Bloodshot should be on a black ops type of team, in this world.
Dang, I'd love to see that. Or something like that.

As soon as I saw that panel of them walking into Gate... I said "secret weapons". Out loud... Maybe I shouldn't read comics when I'm in public.

I think we saw the remaining Bloodshot Squad members in the preview for Bloodshot Salvation, so I'm guessing they will be in that title.

I, for one, would not be interested in that concept. Deathmate on the team, sure. A Bloodshot, OK. Beyond that, it wouldn't be appealing to me and I don't think it would appeal to a wide enough audience to last very long.

VEI could really use a team-up team book beyond Harbinger. They really dropped the ball with Unity when they took most of Kindt's plots and turned them into event books instead of Unity "Chapters" (Armor Hunters, Divinity, BoD, etc.). That left a bunch of leftovers for the actual ongoing and it fell flat for the most part.

It's the preview to BSRB's zero issue and the solicitation clearly suggests that the BS Squad will be part of BS Salvation.

Someone mentioned some place that Valiant has to few re accruing villains Im starting to agree.
I wish a gigantic monsters from a different galaxy were to come swooping in. :hm: Wait that happened! Xo 47
What I'd like to see is a separate reality that some hero's could get trapped it. Stalinverse would be a good oportunity to keep the red brigade busy for a good long time and provide good entertainment to readers.
Unity is growing, malgam is still talking to his dead pals for some weird reasion inside Gin-Gr
Where is Tama. Why not freeze some of them in carbonite and Eric runs off with the code. Sovrghan is still in the wind thought he had it out for Gilad. No no mew hero's please till we get some viable baddies.
I Miss the good old days.

UNITY (Ninjak, Livewire and GIN GR) has just reappeared in Bloodshot U.S.A.. This must have happened before Ninjak going rogue in his own title and, presumably, also for G.A.T.E. I hope there will be a second version of them; former allies Deathmate, Punk Mambo and Bloodshot could replace Eternal Warrior, Ninjak and X-O. Their mission should be maintained.

SECRET WEAPONS Ninjak, Dr Mirage, Geomancer, Shadowman, Eternal Warrior (The Fist and the Steel and friends) would be the mystical defenders against bad juju such as the Cult of Nergal, The Divine Army, the Faraway fauna, the Darque brothers or Jr Anni-Paddas gone bad.

I like that Secret Weapons line up. I'd even say Punk Mambo could be a part of that. There would be plenty of common threads through the group, especially with Darque, who was the impetus for the original Secret Weapons as well IIRC.

Thanks. I put Victoria on UNITY both as a MI-6 sub and lonely magic character. Gunslinger and The B-Squad round their numbers. Alien(convict)s, Armorines deputized by 3rd party, Dr Silk's Webnet, the Red Brigade, the Visitor's arrival, Vine plantings, extant X-O Army, this one writes itself for the next two years. Title, main character anchor (Ray) use of library (Deathmate, HARD Corps, Armorines) in the cast.

I would add Savage to SECRET WEAPONS. Four main characters, two minis people. Top of the line, Earth's variously mystical few, guided by time displaced Kid Gaea. Even easier: HARD Corps < IMPERIUM's Broken Angel, Promethean time cops, an opposing crew of own Uber villains (The Intended Weapons)), Outcast's discovery (after landfall), birth of evil A.I./great grand Father itself could happen here.

I'd like to see Palmer and Hard Corps (either Palmer's team of good guys or PRS's group of bad guys) come back. Maybe revisit The Armorines. Some bits of The Sect leftover and Ivar's dinosaur friend would be cool additions. Might even be a good title for the return of Jack Boniface. And, what the hell, let's throw in Stronghold. I like him.
