This is bigger than your typical comic book. What I mean is that there is a story here with more depth and reach than anything I am used to seeing in a comic book in modern times. If a book on the shelf deserved the term graphic novel lately then this is it. I also love the history lessons at the end of each issue. The story has really caught my interest and I can't wait for the next issue. This is a mature comic book in the best senses of the term. The art fits it well. Really like how they handled the panels with fog overlay.

Agreed. It's complex without being confusing. It's a wonderful blend of big picture intrigue and monstrous mystery with small 'detectioner' observances and character building. Great stuff.

Enjoyable read, not quite as good as the excellent issue #1 but I guess the second issue is more about moving the story along and more set up. Perfect art for this series from Ryp, captures the mood really well.

I enjoy the back up Roman history too and I this this compliments well the story.

3.75/5 - looking forward to the next issue

Yeah, my expectations were high because of the excellent first issue ... so I was a little let down by this issue.

Overall, still very enjoyable

I hadn't really thought about that, but yeah, that doesn't seem like enough to do it justice. I guess we'll see.

It had to be almost a given, regarding the massive hit Divinity has been, and the huge reception Britannia #1 has been (3 printings?)

If this is does happen, I will do a little happy dance. This has been a great story so far, with no solid idea of where it might end or of the twists and turns that are ahead. By utilizing II (and possibly III), we get a much larger story that will truly dig at the evil in this book, plus I don't think there has been a single person who said, "I'm not much for this art, it stinks"

If such a person exists, they are crazy. That is all. :P

Of course when I asked Dinesh, this is what I got...

@THEEBaldMoose @1PeterMilligan Would be amazing right? And with Britannia doing so well you'd think it was a no brainer...;P

I think his wording here speaks volumes...you'd think it WAS a no brainer.

I agree. I love how mature and detail oriented it is. Really makes these characters seem like they are living back in that time period. Lots of intrigue and suspense without being too coy about hiding information or conflicting about what is being presented to the reader.
