Wrestler John Morrison posts the VEI symbol
Just like Jason David Frank posted the Valiant symbol on his Instagram a few weeks ago, pro wrestler/actor/athlete John Morrison has done the same --
https://twitter.com/TheRealMorrison/sta ... 6003816448" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Curious that they are both actors/athletes and both posted the exact same symbol with yellow background. More potential casting? More teasing? I can't think of who Morrison could possibly play though. Maybe Torque? But he's not exactly huge.

Re: Wrestler John Morrison posts the VEI symbol
It is possible that they have both been cast.
I doubt that these actors have got major roles in a Valiant movie. Or at least that are not the titular hero in a film.
This could also be lobbying for a role as casting for Valiant movies is picking up steam.

John Morrison (AKA Johnny Mundo) is currently wrestling for Lucha Underground. Would they do a VEI comic?

Re: Wrestler John Morrison posts the VEI symbol
I would think they would need actors for a movie. I loved Power Rangers when I was a kid, but it would be hard for me to take Frank seriously in a major role. I would think with Sony behind it & the comic book frenzy being what it is, they'll put a decent foot foward. I've been pushing for DJ Cotrona (Dusk Til Dawn: The Series) to be cast as Bloodshot & Ken Watanabe to be Harada, & Ive had my doubts about their star power. However, I think they'd do a fabulous job. Personally, I think Torque would be the hardest to cast.. You have to find a 18-24 year old dude that looks like John Cena w some servicable acting chops. I trust Dinesh & company to find the right guys. Here's a pic of my thoughts:

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Watanabe is the perfect person to play Harada.

Both guys do stunt work and maybe they've been hired/cast in some capacity on the Bloodshot film. I doubt it's any lead roles, but getting a few buff guys to be part of PRS security makes sense.

Can't have a guy known for being a Power Ranger cast as Bloodshot. You lose crediblity right out of the gate. Even if he's talented and right for the role, POwer Ranger = nonstarter.

Power Rangers is about to have a big budget movie that will likely out gross any movie VEI puts out. Not being negative, just saying PR might not be a "non-starter" soon.eschnit wrote:jshelton2001 wrote:I would think they would need actors for a movie. Maybe they're doing a Valiant themed Super Power Beat Down. They've both been on it before, but it's been pretty much exclusively DC and Marvel characters.....
I can see JDF as Bloodshot, and Morrison as Eternal Warrior.

Re: Wrestler John Morrison posts the VEI symbol
If they're secretly looking at casting calls for the Bloodshot movie, seems it'd be strange we wouldn't hear a thing. Hypothetically I could see agents letting their entertainers know of potential opportunities and then gunning for them. Two holes in that guess. First off, as secretive as Dinesh professes to be, there's no way we wouldn't know something, the other thing is no, though visually those two could fit the roles, it seems like it'd be very poor casting to go with a pair like that...if Valiant would want to be taken seriously anyway. Yes, The Rock, and to a lesser extent John Cena can "act" in movies and the movie not be dismissed as fodder. But Morrison isn't either. He has charisma, but not on the same level. Besides, Eternal Warrior doesn't need charisma. Ken Watanabe would be a pull though. You'd have to have some acting chops out the gate if you want credibility. Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson, Tobey Maguire, Robert Downey Jr., Eric Bana, Michelle Pfeiffer, Anne Hathaway, Jared Leto, Ian Mckellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin, this is what you're up against or at least should want to emulate. Need quality

Re: Wrestler John Morrison posts the VEI symbol
Ken Watanbe has to be Harada. We all agree LoL. I didnt mean that Frank or the Power Rangers suck, bc the Lord knows I loved them. I was merely speaking of them being cast as Bloodshot. Which I dont think theyd be good choices. Im not gonna riot or anything.. just my opinion LoL I have thought a lot on it. Theres not many guys big enough to play him height wise. So, my thinking was to find someone fit enough & looked like Garrison. I watch From Dusk til Dawn the Series & thought during one episode.. "DJ Cotrona would be a great Bloodshot." Im sure there are a few or many who could do a good job. I just threw his name in the hat. I believe Dinesh is quietly looking & I think he's listening to our opinions. Who else knows these characters lol? I think Ken would be a home run & I think they'll be others for sure, but theyll be some less established actors that make the movies great.

Of course, I think its a bit of an unfair comparison. I'm sure Barney or Lamb Chops would out gross it too. However, if done right, & I hope the movie is R rated .. I think it can do as well as Kingsman with a better sequel potential.BugsySig wrote:Power Rangers is about to have a big budget movie that will likely out gross any movie VEI puts out. Lol this is fun. I won't tell you that I did not see something yesterday that will blow everyone away soon. People will cry from happiness and won't believe their eyes. I had a tear in my eye but, in my defence, there was a lot of raw onions cut all around me.

Ivar went back in time and made sure Shooter didn't get pushed out of Valiant? Hmmm. Yeah, that would make me cry from happiness. But I'd be crying from sadness just a little bit because that would mean no Defiant.
