I love FVL, so I'll probably end up liking it, but it looks and sounds meh.

I don't really love the design, and the concept just seems like another recycled post apocalyptic fantasy.

I'm loving the character design... and the concept!

FVL is my 2nd favorite Valiant writer ... and having FVL carve out a place in the 4001 timeline with this character sounds amazing to me.

I'm hungry for some FVL. I'm hungry for another voice shaping the future timeline. I'm hungry for a new exciting character.

As long as it has nothing to do with War Monger, I'm sure I'll also love the *SQUEE* out of this book. Just a one shot for now, with potential to be more if people dig it enough, eh? Sounds like a plan. Anything to get more FVL back in the monthly roster.

Sounds pretty cool to me! Anything to get a broader sense of the Valiant world in 4001... I'm still wondering if there aren't any other 'sentient cities' out there besides New Japan...

It's highly possible that she is (or is in some way connected to) the War Monger.

They look similar, and do not forget that she is basically immoral (edit: immortal...) and presently very much NOT dead. She could easily be around in 4001.

I don't think so. War Mother takes place in 4001. This scene obviously takes place much closer to "modern times" as it includes Faith, Grave Dog and the Mirages. One of those circled may still be Savage or Britannia, but it wouldn't make sense for it to be War Mother (unless she is immortal).

True, but, Valiant has already gone on record that War Mother first appeared in BoD #1 which, similar to what you said, doesn't come anywhere close to 4001 AD. So I agree, possibly immortal, or perhaps time-travel is involved? Possible Ivar or Neela cameo coming up?

I may be wrong, but I think this is the only panel in BoD#1 that has new characters in it. That in mind, look closer at the female next to Bloodshot. Shaved-ish head, wrap over her shoulders, pants and boots (zoom in) are the same as what we see on the covers for War Mother.

Till Valiant clarifies, I'm not sure it could be anyone else.
