another "my story" story
Let me first say, I love reading the these boards ...always entertaining (although I must admit sometimes I feel like Im walking in on the middle of a joke).
I loved reading comics growing up, Avengers , Powerman and Iron Fist, Star Wars, and so forth. I got away from that as many do but one day I found myself browsing the LCS and remembering all the books I read years before (which Dad kept sealed in boxes "in case I ever wanted them later", obviously he was still scarred from his Mother throwing out all his baseball cards). I figured what the hell , I'll pick up a few books (MY GOD , what happened to all the 50 cent books?!?). Wow look at that cover, Solar man of the atom .....oooh a #1 I'll give that a try.......FISH ON!
That BWS art knocked me out. I started buying all the Valiant booksand loved most of 'em. I always felt that some werent written for me but I still loved the direction Valiant was headed.
"What are they doing to MY books?!?" ahhhh speculation was killing my universe. The "Jim Shooter -Missing, Reward Offered" posters went up all over my neighborhood.
Oh well , All good things, Blah blah blah.
over the years sold off some stuff, mostly fillers issues thank God, and there they sat my feeble attempt at real life cardboard Jenga.

are you kidding me? there are still people talking about this stuff?
let me go dig out the books and now Im hooked all over again.
thanks a lot, almost made it outside into the fresh air.
