AUCTION: SOLAR #10 CGC 9.8

Doing a bit of vacation travel with my family, and also a LOT of slabbing this summer. Need to free-up some cash, so I'm putting a few items up for auction.

Up for auction is the hard to find VH1 SOLAR MAN OF THE ATOM #10 CGC 9.8. This auction will end on Friday the 19th of June, at 8:00 pm eastern time.

Bids are in multiples of $5 (e.g. $5, $25, $100, etc) and the auction starts NOW!

But pay attention, I've lost auctions before like this...

The official finish time for this auction 7:59:59 pm eastern time, however, there will be 2-minutes allotted beyond 7:59:59 pm eastern standard time after the end of the last bid. What this means is that IF you bid $100 at 7:59:59 pm, someone can bid again at 8:01:59 pm. If someone bids at 8:01.59 pm then someone else can bid at 8:03:59 pm until there is a two minute period of NO NEW BIDS. The last bidder within these rules (again, meaning nobody bids after your last bid for a period of 2+ minutes) will be the auction winner.

The reason for this is to allow all last minute bids to be counted, as opposed to a flurry of bids in the last 10 seconds before 8:00 pm.

Payment will be PayPal (+3% if paying for goods; or nothing extra if sending for friends/family), and shipping will be $15.

I do love a friendly and good VF Board auction.

A classic Valiant key-issue that has stood the test of time; and also one that year after year we simply do not see many (or any really) new graded 9.8's out there.

It's wild. We've seen so many good folks here submit and submit and submit this book in the hopes of obtaining this elusive grade, only to receive 9.6's over and over...

Hard to let it go, but family travel is not cheap, and we do what we must.

I was really going to try hard for this one, now even out of my range. I keep staring at my 9.6 SS copy wanting to upgrade but time and time again I keep thinking, probably the best copy of this book I will now own.
