Aside from Valiant, what companies do you read the most of? Marvel? DC? Image? Or another publisher?
I tend to read a lot of the B-squad Marvel stuff. No Avengers, no x-men, but some of the more fringe books. Trying out Lemire's Green Arrow as well.
What about you all? And, any recommendations?

I'm a bit behind on my reading of new books, but I currently read: TWD, Chew, Manifest Destiny, Saga, East of West.

Image and DC mostly here ... a few other indy's as well. I read anything Matt Hawkins writes and Clone is also awesome from Skybound as is Thief of Thieves, reading C.O.W.L, Lazarus and East of West too. Charles Soule's Letter 44 is very compelling from Oni. I also like Uber from Avatar and Skyward from Action Lab. DC titles I read include V-ditti's Flash and Green Lantern, I read the whole Green Lantern family actually. Also digging Grayson and the new Suicide Squad. I was reading All-Star Western but it just ended, although I replaced it with Star Spangled War Stories starring GI Zombie also written by Jimmy Palmiotti. Currently the only Marvel title I read is Moon Knight.

I think DC and Dark Horse win on number of titles:

Image - Saga, Fatale
Dark Horse - Hellboy, Abe Sapien, BPRD, Baltimore, Sledgehammer 44
Fantagraphics - Love & Rockets
DC - Batbooks: Batman, Detective, Dark Knight, etc.

Image is definitely my #2 company that I read the most titles from besides Valiant. Currently from them I am reading;

East of West
Invincible
Lazarus
Outcast
Revival
Saga
Spread
The Walking Dead

I think there are others I am forgetting... I also quite often tend to take a chance on picking up an unknown Image #1 just to try it out. I like the odd Dark Horse title (especially into Baltimore right now), and currently I don't read any new Marvel or DC books (although I do pick up whatever DC comic that Patrick Zircher is working on).

DC: Bruce-centered Bat-books. Eternal, soon to be adding BATGIRL (I hardly believe it myself, but I am very curious about it :D )
and the hopefully ongoing series of trades of the EXCLLENT The Batman Adventures, the comics based on BTAS. :D
Marvel- Just dropped MK. I'm done with the Marvel Universe for the foreseeable future. I have no interest in the current state of things, the only thing I WILL be getting it's the new Star Wars by Gillen and Aaron. Two great writers, imho.

Image: EAST of WEST. Best self-contained story in comics, right now. Unmissable. I'm also slowly collecting TWD trades.

IDW: Ragnarok is on my pull, so are the TMNT trades.

Dark Horse: Usagi :cloud9:, BLADE OF THE iMMORTAL and the New Lone Wolf and Cub manga (trades and takoubons)- all TERRIFIC stuff.

Viz Media- Manga -wise I'm following the new Kenshin chapters (restoration and chapter zero), and I will be soon start getting the EXCELLENT VAGABOND 3-in-1. I have been reading this tale online for years. And this seems like THE Best time to start collecting it. The oversized model is more than welcome.

Other than Valiant, Image wins hands down. I also enjoy a lot of what Marvel us putting out.

My pull list in order of preference (minus VEI):

East of West
Manhattan Projects
Chew
Revival
Umbral - I highly recommend this to any fantasy fans
CyberForce/Aphrodite IX universe books(Top Cow)
Spread
Hickman Avengers / New Avengers
TWD
Invincible
Avengers World
Lazarus

I'm seriously expanding my Marvel reading with the Marvel Unlimited app and I picked up the Mind MGMT HC and the first Wasteland HC (same creative team as Umbral).

As far Image, there are dozens of books that I catch up on when there are sales:
Rocket Girl
Fatale
And a bunch of others that I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Mostly Image books in trade: Chew, Saga, Manhattan projects, East of West, Revival.

Occasionally I'll get a Dark Horse, IDW or Dynamite book, but only for a specific character/title or creator I follow like FVL's Brain Boy or THUNDER Agents.

Other than Valiant it's mostly Image (Savage Dragon, East of West, Wayward, trying out Copperhead and Goners) plus Letter 44 (Oni) and Rachel Rising (Abstract).

I am reading way too many books. I always buy all 9 Valiant books they put out every month.

Most of my purchases are from Image. Including books that will be starting by November, and those that are currently on hiatus (such as Pretty Deadly), I read 26 Image books...like I said, too many. I won't bore you listing them all, because you probably have a decent idea of what I am picking up. A few that I don't see talked about a lot include The Mercenary Sea, The Fuse, and Five Ghosts. Those are all terrific books.

From Vertigo, I read American Vampire and Fables.

I read Mind MGMT from Dark Horse and will read The Resurrectionists when it comes out so I can get my Fred Van Lente fix.

I will be starting Deep State by Justin Jordan over at Boom in November.

I am reading Afterlife with Archie and will start Sabrina in October from Archie Comics.

From DC, I am reading Grayson and will start Gotham Academy when it comes out.

And from Marvel, I plan on starting Rocket Raccoon. I may get into other Guardians of the Galaxy stuff there, but I doubt it. No current X-Men for me...I stick with Claremont, Morrison, and Whedon if I need an X-Men fix.

That is about it.

I wasn't very impressed with the first issue of Rocket Raccoon. The art was great, but I don't think writing is Young's thing.

When I got back into comics with the VEI relaunch, I was reading all the VEI titles but I've dropped a few VEI in favor of Image. I don't really have a set budget I stick to each month as far as price or # of titles so I'll try random things here and there. Again, it's mostly Image though. I think I like Image books since there's not a whole universe to follow - Black Science is just Black Science, Lazarus is its own thing, etc.

For recommendations and reading lists, there's always this ever popular thread -- viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11621" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Black Science. Lazarus. Birthright. Saga. Manifest Destiny. Deadly Class.

Picked my #1 copy yesterday, haven't yet read it. But it looks LW&C all the way, and from what i've read from reviews online it is solid. :thumb:

It's quite a bit from Marvel actually......

Still a mutant lover after all these years but I'm reading more of the ancillary titles now such as Amazing X-Men, X-Men, Nightcrawler, Cyclops. Magneto by Bunn is an unsung hit, excellent work. I will not support neither All-New X-Men nor Uncanny X-Men as they are full of Bendis' typical errors such as ignoring canon, off-kilter characterizations, and repetitive dialogue and plot ideas.

Other Marvel titles include Avengers, Avengers World, Uncanny Avengers (by far, the best team book they are publishing), Daredevil, Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man.

As for DC, I don't read nearly as many titles as I did pre-Nu52. Now, I just read Superman, Action Comics, Flash, and Justice League.

As for independents, I mainly follow creators that I enjoy. Rucka's Lazarus is high on my list and I'm looking forward to his Stumptown becoming an ongoing from Oni. IDW is reprinting Walt Simonson's Star Slammers and I'm getting his current title Ragnarok. Matt Wagner's new Grendel mini-series with the Shadow. Usagi Yojimbo is finally back after a long hiatus.

Also following Titan's efforts with their new Doctor Who license, they have two series out already featuring Tennant and Smith respectively (both are off to very good starts) and looking forward to the release of their third title featuring Capaldi.

Aside from being a Valiant fanboy:

Dipping my toe into the Project Black Sky line from Dark Horse. Starting to dig their shared universe (Captain Midnight, Brain Boy) though it's still not as compelling as Valiant.

From Image, East of West (though I've really lapsed in reading) and Supreme: Blue Rose. Walking Dead as well, but that's when I can borrow trades.

Multiversity from DC. As much a mess as Final Crisis was, I still want to see it go on.
Good Morning, that's a nice tnetennba.
The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in...

I generally do not buy new books unless it is for speculation purposes. However, I did buy the first three issues of Outcast and enjoyed reading that, plus I am buying The Strain comic book adaptations as they are released. Otherwise, it's strictly back issues for me.

Honestly Valiant is the only one I consistently get and look into.

DC, only Earth-2 till they end that and Smallville Season 11

Edison Rex from Monkey Brain which is on a hit and miss schedule all of a sudden.

Other than that no "current stuff" but old stuff from just about everyone from DC to Marvel to Dark Horse, Boom basically I love the old stuff no the rebooted half *SQUEE* attempts to rewrite history or ignore it.
