First Lemire, now Fawkes? They're really pulling some up & coming talent, along with some amazing veterans from the big 2. I'm extremely excited about this.

Anything Archer and Armstrong related to I look forward too. With the apparent moving on of Van Lente, I hope that VEI build on the strengths of the series and don't go for any wholesale change if it continues.

That is a great cover! :thumb:
I've read a fair bit of his DC work, and I'd say with proper editorial guidance he has very solid skills and could develop into a really good writer. His Batman Eternal issues, for example, are better than his work on his own, largely because the story is given more freedom by the editors. I liked the characters and ideas of his Pandora series, but the constant crossovers kinda killed my interest. (Ironic given she's the New 52 first issue secret crossover queen...) So yeah, at Valiant? I expect it to be good.

This issue sounds pretty cool. It'll be nice to get a longer look at one of the less-defined Sects. It'll be interesting to see if this one-shot gives them a new leader. Maybe he even gets the power of Mammon? That could make for a better threat... and Fawkes loves his creepy magic stuff. Which he made a point of repeatedly mentioning about the Sect. Hmm... interesting.

EDIT: Forgot to agree about that cover- Juan Doe is the shiznit. :thumb:
