I have a Harbinger Blue I can give ya for $20 postage paid. It's un-opened with extra comic inside. Bagged & Boarded, NM/M condition. It's one of two copies I have left out of original 12 that I got last fall from Langes.

Also, I have Magnus Predator I can give ya for $2....j/k.

I really have the Harbinger Blue, and many Harbinger Blacks (8) as well, but thats not on your list.

Not sure if this was, but the other Valiant TPD I have is X-O Manowar Database #1 which I'll throw in with the Harbinger for FREE!

if you do the math 51 books @ $0.62 doesn't = $13...the $13 would have been for the 21 books we had agreed on before i pulled out some books for another person...you decided to take all the books after i quoted you $13 for the 21 books...

as for finding more books for you, i did find other books off the ORIGINAL list you sent me...and last week i sent you an email stating what i had, you told me to hold off until you scrubbed your list...you then decided to not scrub your list, stating you had purchased other books and didn't care if you had doubles. i would have been happy to provide more books for you if you had sent an updated list...

regardless, i'm trying to make the best of my situation, and if i can trade some books for valiant books that i can't find anywhere else, i don't see the problem.

and yes i do work at a "shop": http://www.avalon.net/~daydream/ though the site hasn't been updated in years...

i'm trying to help everyone out on the board. myself and anyone else that wants to buy/trade. if you got a problem with that, don't deal with me. you can talk to k c collectibles and he will give you nothing but rave reviews, as will the 100% feedback rating (+353) that i have through ebay.

quibling over $10 worth of books seems pretty childish to me, as does not responding to my last email and posting on here to make me look bad, but again, do what you will...

1) the "dealing with me" refers to anyone who reads this, not you
2) if i made myself look bad, that's on me, not you.
3) so it's okay for you to change what books you want every other email and waste the time i spent going through boxes to find them in the first place? then when i quote you $15 for the 21 books and shipping, you come back to me and ask "is that for priority shipping?" are the $2 difference it woulda cost that big of a deal for you? that doesn't say much to me. you were getting hell of a deal in the first place. i wouldn't call either of us changing lists over and over being dishonest, i would call it business. if you can't live with that, go find books elsewhere. bottom line. if no one on the board wants to deal with me, I CAN LIVE WITH THAT. the whole point of signing up on this board was to help MYSELF find books i need. i'm not taking advantage of anyone, how is it bad that i can help someone else do the same thing at the same time? i'd much rather trade for books i need than sell my books for money anyday.

TO EVERYONE ON THE BOARD:

CHOOSE TO TRADE WITH ME, DON'T CHOOSE TO TRADE WITH ME. COLLECTING COMICS IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, NOT A BUNCH OF DRAMA OVER 20 COMIC BOOKS!

I don't think the issue is the $10 delta. It's the principle of settling on a deal and backing out.

when you FIRST contacted me, i told you i would sell books for $0.50 each.

when you emailed me back after i sent you what i had and said you were going to scrub your list, that led to 20 books @ $0.50 each plus shipping, which came to $13.

you then came back and said you would just take them all and you didn't care if you had doubles. that says to me you wanted the original list of 51 books that i had emailed you that i had found. of course that would change the price! you then sent me what you wanted, i quoted you $15 to cover the books, shipping and paypal fees. i then offer to help you find more books, and change my mind on selling a few books, just as you changed your mind on buying some books. it's okay for you to decline buying 30 books when the price changes back to what was orignally put on the table, but it's not okay for me to not sell some books that i would rather do other things with? i just don't see how i get all the blame in this situation...

i didn't steal anything from you, i didn't take your money and not send you books. you changed your mind just as much as i did, i changed my mind in the end. it's business. obviously not good business according to everyone, but not all business is. it happens. it's not the end of the world. yes, the deal didn't go down. yes i might be able to get comics i need instead of your money. that's my choice. and if it ailenates me from everyone on this board, THAT'S MY FAULT. sorry for looking out for myself.

WITH THAT SAID, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ME IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE ON HERE. I'M NOT OUT TO RIP ANYONE OFF AND TRY TO BE AS HELPFUL AS I CAN, BUT I'M HERE TO FIND BOOKS FOR MY COLLECTION, AND IF I CAN DO THAT, I WILL.

with that said, everyone can make the choice for themselves.

i apologize for backing out.
i apologize for dragging this out.
either dwell on it and make it worse, or deal with it and move on. i have.

Knightt,

I'm sorry things are not going well between you and Zach. I have been buying and trading with him for a while now and have never had any problems. I originally bought some auctions from him and then we stated trading so he could start filling out his Valiant / Acclaim collection and I could get some more books for my ebay store.

I personally think he is a hell of a guy and will continue doing business with him. I am not involved in the trade / buy that you guys are working on so I can't comment on that - I just know he has gone above and beyond for me in the past on our trades and I appreciate that.

Chris

You know, you almost apoloigized without an attitude there. Telling people to "deal with it and move on" is bush. You quoted him a price, changed it when somebody else offered you a better deal. So deal with that.

What? He does?

Guess that explains the attitude.

while we're on a similiar vein, I have a question that I've been meaning to ask k_c_collectibles for some time. I used to buy books from you under your old screen name gouldie_chris, but haven't bought anything since you changed names. As can be seen from your past feedback on the old name, something apparently happened to you around August or September 2003 as you were given negative feedback from 10 different eBay users:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... ldie_chris

I'm not going to ask what happened, as it may well have been something personal and it's none of anyone's business. What I'd like to know is did you ever make it good for all the people who apparently were unhappy enough to give you negative feedback?

This probably seems like I'm trying to pick a fight, but I'm really not. I think everyone here deserves to know as much info as they can about people they are thinking of doing business with. Heck, if you can assure me that you did make it good with those other buyers, I might even think about buying something from you in the future again.

Brother J,

Yes - I made good on all the negs I received at the time. I don't want to get into too many details, but I was VERY sick for around 2 months. Due to a lack of income I was forced to move right after I started feeling better throwing another monkey wrench into things. Once I was all situated in a new place I mailed out everyone's books to them with lots of extra comics to TRY to make up for me being so late (my money situation wans't great at the time or I would have given them full refunds as well). I tried my best to make it up to the people who bought from me in good faith that I did not deliver the goods to in a timely fashion.

When I decided to start buying and selling on ebay again I did so with my girlfriend as my partner - hence the name k_c_collectibles (her name starts with a K). Even though I still had a feedback rating over 99% with over 1,000 feedback under gouldie_chris I wanted to start fresh and put all of the bad memories behind me.

Does that make sense? Sorry if it is too much information... I just want to put on record my situation at the time and state that all the books were mailed out, but not in a timely manner due to a situation beyond my control.

Chris

the best part about this is my perceived "attitude"

i don't have an attitude. i explain myself, that's it. because it's the internet and there is no tone to my words, if you don't agree with what i have to say, you assume i'm being defensive and assume i am coping attitude. i could say that everyone posting their witty remarks are sporting attitude as well, but i could care less. if you automatically go into something with e negative outlook, of course it's gonna look like i cope attitude...

chris and i have completed our deal, we both consider the situation squared. as far as i'm concerned, that's all that matters.

Fair enough, as long as you made up for the problems, then that's all anyone can ask. I knew at least one of the people who negged you at the time (willpine, a former board member) and I remember he was pretty P.O.ed at the time. Not sure whatever happened to him. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

I would also say that Chris and I have had a business relationship for the last 3 years and thousands of valiant/aclaim books and I would say in my 3 years in the business he is one of the best I have ever done business with!!!!
