Re: The Walking Dead
I have been reading it from the start. If you like his writing you should check out Invincible as well.BodaZoffa wrote:Read the first 12 issues of this. Some great stuff! Anyone else reading this?

Hey, those are, err, were mine. There were some issues I wish I got more for but overall I can't complain. I tripled my money!!! I'm a gald little boy tonight. I'm going to a movie to celebrate, and I bought a few more Batman villain first appearances today. My wife and I are going to Meet the Fockers at the 2.00 theatre.
I heard this was a pretty good title and, being the fan of zombie films that I am, looked into buying some back issues only to find that the prices are astronomical (for a book that just started a couple years ago, anyway).
I was surprised that this book would have such a premium already--not only is it such a "young" title, but it's an Image title (so it would have had a higher print run than some unknown publisher) and it has no superheroes whatsoever (I assume).
Anyone know why these are already selling for such high prices?

Supply and demand. The print run is not very large. I never got the first issue so I didn't read the series. I've heard nothing but good things from people who have read it. Robert Kirkman is an up and coming writer, who also writes Invincible and some Marvel comics. Buy the trade if you don't want to shell out the bucks for single issues.

Cool. Just ordered TPB #1.
By the way, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought pages 2 and 3 were the 28 Days Later comic book adaptation
.

i will have some of the walking dead deluxe HC with slipcase (issues 1 - 24) for sale in december. retail is $100 but i'm going to be selling them for around $75. that's about what cover price would run you on all of them (good luck finding that!) if anyone is interested, let me know. they would make a great christmas present
they won't be reprinting these as a hardcover, so this is your only chance to get it.

Do you run an online site daydreamscomics? I'm trying to find a place to buy books online while at school that won't slam with a high shipping charge when I only want a couple books.daydreamscomics wrote:i will have some of the walking dead deluxe HC with slipcase (issues 1 - 24) for sale in december. retail is $100 but i'm going to be selling them for around $75. that's about what cover price would run you on all of them (good luck finding that!) if anyone is interested, let me know. they would make a great christmas presentthey won't be reprinting these as a hardcover, so this is your only chance to get it.
andrew... daydreamscomics has an Ebay store with lots o goodies. Personally, I buy new comics from him every month (even though I have an LCS two miles away) and I am VERY pleased with his new comic service !!! I also go through him for back issues. He is very easy to work with and has a great attention to detail. Never forgets an issue and fights like Ninja...
