Shadowman #14 preview
Here's a preview of Milligan's second issue on the title containing some history on the Boniface family as well as some interaction between Jack and his Loa:

I love this art too. Truly hope we can get a full arc of artist A, then another full arc of artist B with a similar style, then back to a third full arc by artist A and so on.
The first few arcs of XO worked like this and it was much more coherent than what's been going on lately in XO, shadow man, etc.

I thought XO was good from the get go. SM still feels lost in the swamp even after #13 imo thus far.

The writing is great. The art has been inconsistent. Sometimes great, other times not so much.Captain Craig wrote:I thought XO was good from the get go. SM still feels lost in the swamp even after #13 imo thus far.

I completely agree. I know things happen and artists leave or need to be replaced for various reasons, but I think that is a solid strategy.Carson wrote:I love this art too. It also allows those "fill in" artists a chance to shine and earn their own book down the line. I think VEI missed the boat with Lee Garbett on that and should have given him his own series after THREE (well two and a half) excellent arcs on XO.
Here, RDLT should be kept on the book as long as possible as his art is fantastic and should become synonymous with Shadowman. And any fill-ins need to have a similarly dark yet dynamic style.
