This awesome Bernard Chang (pencils) / Tommy Lee Edwards (inks + colors) Unity #1 cover will be on sale for $15 at NC Comicon on November 9-10th, and for $20 online at UltimateComics.com "after November 10th". Yep, ULTIMATE Comics in Chapel Hill (they put on NC Comicon and commissioned this variant cover) are big Valiant supporters. Check out their Valiant display!

Only complaint is that the NC logo is jarring on the cover!

Let me check with the shop and see:
- what's the price at the con?
- what's the price at ultimatecomics.com on the 10th?
- any interest in whipping up a special offer for the ValiantFans message boards?

I'm hoping we could do a print of the cover art (sans all graphics) and sell that with a copy of the comic for $20? Just an idea.

Or maybe get it signed with a COA that includes a Bernard Chang sketch?

I loved putting together the Cary Nord sketch covers last year for you guys. Let me know if there's interest in another NC Comicon COA deal.

Or if everyone is just burned out on the UNITY offers I can totally let it go...

The most I'd want to spend on getting this cover would be about $15-20 (plus shipping), so whatever you can manage in that range is cool with me. I'm primarily just interested in a copy for the art, I really like the drawing (& that Bernard Chiang did it)

Their goal is to have 18 cover variations to pay homage to the 18 vh1 unity chapters.

I asked the owner about doing a print sans graphics, but he said he only has the rights to the art for the cover, and couldn't do a print

He did concede that he would let the Valiant board get them for the show price of $15. I'll keep you posted about how to get that discount!

I had other ideas about COAs and sketch covers... but I think I'll let that slide since everyone on here that is a completist has enough to chase with the dozen plus Unity #1 covers. So, stay tuned on how to get them for $15 instead of $20 online after the show.

I actually don't like this cover, which is odd, because I usually like Bernard Chang's work. I think it must be the coloring I'm not crazy about.
