Collecting donations for 2013 CF auction - NEW PRIZES

As a first real jump into putting some kind of a fund-raiser for CF, I decided to carry on traditions of past board members, and asked many of you to help contribute so we might auction off a selection of books to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis - and specifically, Team Alyssa.

Over the years, many of us have helped contribute and raise money on behalf of board member Knightt, whose daughter Alyssa has fought Cystic Fibrosis. When I asked for help in purchasing the X-O MANOWAR SIGNED DELUXE HC EDITION VOL 1 book, I thought it might take a while - and I might even have to kick in a few more dollars. In under six hours, five others kicked in the full cost, and we were able to purchase book 50 to auction off - and help raise money for CF.

These members are: magnusr, DirtbagSailor, brucehartshorn, paradise, and nscc. You made this happen.

(We even have a CANADIAN in there! AND a European!)

I am asking you to hunt around - and try to find whatever other items you might have around your comic collection that you might want to donate on behalf of CF. I know that at LEAST three other people have already asked to donate items to this auction - and this is the first time I am really making this public.

We want to encourage you to find whatever way you can help donate. Extra copies of a variant? Put them UP! Want to help out? PUT THEM UP! Let's make this a MONSTER SIZED prize for the winner!

After this announcement, post your 'donation' to 2013 Halloween auction - along with a current 'value' from Greg's guide. I will send you a quick message, letting you know the location to mail your items. When the donation arrives, I will post a quick photo of it as 'verified' donation - and send them all in one big package to the winner.

If you would prefer to send it directly to the winner at the conclusion of the auction, I can also send you an address to mail it, to the winner. Your choice.

When I get final set-up completed, I will have Knightt set up a direct link for how to donate for each 'raffle drawing.'

I will have Knightt verify each monetary donation.

I will create tickets for each donor, and video record the drawing - from the viewing of all of the entries being placed into a hat - all the way to my six year old daughter drawing the winner and announcing it on my website.

Once I get to my collection this evening, I will sift through and select some choice items to the auction. I already have a few items in mind...

The guide value is probably right for a signed CBLDF Q&W #1 in this condition, but I'm not sure about the Unity Red Preview book. I'd probably put $15 to $20 on it even in this condition. The CGC book prices are swags since none of them are 9.8s.
