The above link is to a blog I wrote about Project Superpowers in support of the line. I eagerly await the return of this line by Dynamite beyond The Owl mini they're doing now, it's time to see it blossom once more.

I would LOVE to see some more love for Project Superpowers. I got into this universe DEEP when it came out. Now you can buy more than your share of the multitude of the variant covers (many were pretty sharp), which will surely be the way to get your Valiant variant covers. I still need WAY too many for my own good.

The art in this line was 'odd' yet colored so well that it made up for it but the story lines made me come back for me every month, especially since they were Dead Universe characters. It actually opened up a lot of research activity for me as I went on the hunt for learning more about the serious number of superheroes and villains that were resurrected for the Project Superpowers line.

Also, I spend some good money on the comic trading cards that came out for this line as well.

Whats the word on seeing PSP back in print ?

i was hopping for a hardcover collection of Chapter 2.

Dynamite is wrapping up a four(?) part mini-series, the Owl, that is part of this universe. I was surprised when I started reading it and they mentioned the urn. I was thinking it might tie more in to Miss Fury and the Black Bat.

Miss Fury was another Golden Age character they started printing again but I don't think she is in the Project Superpowers continuity. She time travels from 1943 to 2013 but not with the urn, Fighting Yank or anything like that. She previously saw print from Adventure Comics and that version of the character later appeared in the Protectors universe.

The original run had so much promise, though I think it suffered from too many characters. It needed more focus on a select group of the most well known characters and expand from there.

The second chapter was pretty good, though. I liked the Inherritors and the Zeus story, then BAM The Claw shows up...it was a pretty sweet ending.

I hope the universe works out, but I won't pick anything else up until I see Dynamite is willing to support and sustain it. I jumped in the first time around, and again with the Kirby: Genesis line, only to have the same issues with delays and cancellations that I've come to know from DE. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
