ROUND #2 NYCC CON EXCLUSIVE - LIMITED TO FIRST 50 MEMBERS
Since it worked so well, we have decided that we will offer a round #2, NYCC Con Exclusive offer to the first 50 VF.com members who sign up for it. Here’s how it will work.
If you would like to purchase one of the two NYCC con exclusives which will be available only at the Oct. con in NYC at cost plus shipping to you, you can if you will return the favor and go to Amazon.com and do reviews on all 10 VEI TPBs (9 are out now and the 10th comes out in Sept.) prior to 9/30/13. We want members to do honest reviews of at least 200 words that might be helpful to anyone browsing the selections and considering making a purchase. Or, there is even the option to do a VIDEO review which we have yet to have a single member do YET (hint, hint).
To do a review you will need to have an Amazon account from a purchase for anything from them.
We will monitor the reviews and keep a database of members who are participating and want to avail themselves of this opportunity to purchase a con exclusive. I ask that if you want to be part of this promo that you PM me with both your board name and the name you will be using for the reviews, along with your address for shipping. The first 50 members who do this and do the reviews will be the only ones who have the opportunity to participate. Payment via Paypal for those first 50 who qualify and want the exclusive will need to be sent in full no later than 9/30/13 so that we can arrange payment to VEI prior to my personally going to NYCC.
Please know that there is no guarantee of anything beyond your being able to get the con exclusive. That said, there always remains the possibility that VEI MAY express their appreciation (as they have in the past) to VF.com members who help them out by giving honest and meaningful reviews of the TPBs. They have been very generous in the past and remain a company that is truly thankful for the support of their fans so who knows?

Do you know what the cost of these Con exclusives is going to be? I plan on doing some reviews, but the urgency with which I do it might depend on whether I can afford these exclusives or not

How rigid is the 200 word requirement? I previously wrote what I felt was an honest, helpful review of X-O Vol 2 - just re-read it and estimated the word count at 150+.
