Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
Usually I read the one I am most excited for first, but if its he first issue in a new arc I'll read that first for sure and if its the last issue in an arc I save that for last. Luckily there's usually no more than 2 VEI books in a week or I might lose my *SQUEE* trying to decide.

I randomly pick books. I generally mix the Valiants in with the others. If Bloodshot is out, it gets read first. Revival trumps all, because it always ends on a cliffhanger.

Favourite to least favourite. If I had a stack of all of them together, this is the order I would go in.
X-O Manowar
Harbinger
Eternal Warrior*
Archer and Armstrong
Quantum and Woody
Bloodshot
Shadowman
* - Just a guess. EW is my favourite title from VH1.

I get my books once a month from dcbservice.com so I have to make that decision every month because I get all of my Valiant books on the same day.BugsySig wrote:Luckily there's usually no more than 2 VEI books in a week or I might lose my *SQUEE* trying to decide.

I usually do least favorite to favorite unless a given book has a cliffhanger from the previous month that I am just dying to read.

Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
I pick up my comics once a month, so I just read in whatever order they come out of the bag
I enjoy them all, so it doesn't really matter to me what gets read first or last.

Harby

Bloodshot
Shadowman

Harby Wars would be #1 if it was on going. I expect Eternal Warrior to be in my top 2 if not take #1 from the looks of the previews

Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
I generally read the ones I'm most excited for. Current ranking if read all in one pile? I'd say...
1] Harbinger
2] XO Manowar
4] Archer & Armstrong
3] Bloodshot
5] Shadowman
6] Quantum & Woody
Q&W being on the bottom doesn't mean I think its the worst of the Valiant titles, but I'm more keen on the other books at this point. Bloodshot, A&A & Shadowman all would flip-flop in their order depending on how good the most recent issues are. Harbinger is simply my top fav period & XO is close behind - I look forward to those books the most.

Exactly mine, with the same reasoning and flip-flop potential. No matter what, Harbinger is always first. Not sure where EW will fit into the scheme.

Hellooo kindred spirit!

I don't know where EW will fit into my reading order either - I'm really looking forward to it, though!

Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
Since I tend to collect my list monthly, my reading order tends to be all that month's books.
I pair off my books of favourites and less-favoured; reading a favourite then a less-favourite and alternating like that. VEI gets read before any other publisher now.
So favourites:
- Bloodshot
- Archer & Armstrong
- Shadowman
Less favoured:
- Harbinger
- X-O Manowar
- Quantum & Woody (based on that first issue)

Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
Like I said, I'm pretty new to the Valiant verse, and I'm not even sure what VEI means,(don't hurt me), but I'm a little behind on everything and have worked it out to just read them in the order they were published/released, with the oldest comics at the bottom of the stack allowing the newer series to be read first.Big Red wrote:What is your preferred reading order for your Valiant books?

Like I read X-O1 first then I read Harbinger 1 then X-O2 then I read bloodshot 1, harbinger 2 x-o 3 and so on in that order.

Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
Lately I have been getting 5+ weeks all together, so I tend to read based on where the last issue left off.
I would read last issue of a current arc first, then anything that is in the middle and finally, anything starting new.
My favorites change all the time too, depending on my mood or the strength of the issue/arc. I am pretty damn happy with all the titles though.

It depends...Big Red wrote:What is your preferred reading order for your Valiant books?
I'd go with this, although, Valiant titles are pretty spread out throughout the month, most weeks you'll have one, maybe two, once in a blue, three, it really depends on the titles you're reading. Not everyone is reading the whole line.Or does it change every month according to what storyline you're enjoying at the time?

Re: What is your reading order for your Valiant books?
I get my books on a monthly basis and I am an "arc builder." I put each Valiant title in number order in one stack and when I get a complete story arc, those issues go into the "read" pile. I am not smart enough to read each monthly release or I would have to go back and re-read what I have forgotten.
