ALL SOLD- Valiant Fans FCBD VARIANT - UPDATED 5-01-13

Post by drmirage »

UPDATE 05-01-13

According to UPS.. I will be receiving these from Grweg on Monday 5/6/13

--------------------

Thanks to dhudson1 for deferring 10 copies to KXXX.

-----------------------------------------------

AS OF 11:45 AM PST (SATURDAY FEB 16TH, ALL 290 AVAILABLE COPIES ARE SOLD)
IF ANYONE NEEDS BOOKS, PLEASE CHECK WITH GREG @ viewtopic.php?f=1&t=39353" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I AM SURE THERE ARE SOME MEMBERS WHO CAN SPLIT THE CASES THAT HAVE BEEN PURCHASED.

VALIANTFANS.COM FCBD OFFICIAL RELEASE! First of all. Lets recognize Greg for getting this done for all of us. :clap: :thumb: :high-five:

Image

If Greg qualifies for the 10 case minimum (3,000 books), I can do this deal to help out board members who are interested in this book without having to buy an entire case.

Its probably not smart, but I am gonna take on Greg's offer to collect $ and get a case to distribute.

That being said, if I do not sell all of these books, I will give them all away to shops as free books to promote VEI. (A win-win situation no matter what)

If you can buy a case of 300 copies, do it. We can get this limited book made. This book is going to promote ValiantFans website like never before. So let me be your last option... in case you cannot spend $240 for a case. 300 copies is a ton of books!!

My actual cost as Greg said is $.80 per book. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=39353" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
$.80 x 300 books = $240 (The amount I have paid to get this to my door.)

NOTE: I am not making any $ on these books (The prices I have listed is my REAL cost which includes optional bags/boards, shipping, supplies, my time and Paypal fees).
I just want to help out a few VF Fan members to acquire these books and not have to spend $$ to get them. This deal will be as transparent as possible.

If anyone wants to order <300 books, please consider buying directly from Greg @ viewtopic.php?f=1&t=39353" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

PAYMENTS:

Its probably not smart, but I will not be requesting for payments until the books ship which will be in May 2013. Please don't make me be sorry for doing this. However, if you could make advance payments in February, I will very much appreciate it. :D

Paypal Gift Payments or any additional payments will also be very much appreciated.

PAYPAL: SWIMBAY@HOTMAIL.COM

RULES:

1. I worked out the numbers and this is what I have to do. AGAIN: I am not making any $ on these books (The prices I have listed is my REAL cost) I just want to help out a few VF Fan members to acquire these books at a discounted price who do not have access to them.

2. These books will come out in May 2013, and your books will ship right after I receive them which is usually one (1) week after its released since I need time to get these from Greg. The problem is what if I get 29 separate orders for this deal and I need to bag/board all 300 books. So please give me some reasonable amount of time to get it done. I can work very fast, but, but it takes time to bag/board/tape/sandwich/pack and move 300 books. Plus I need to make sure everyone gets their orders correct with your mailing information.

3. Each member has no limit until I sell all 29 packs of 10 books. That being said, the maximum orders I am accepting is 29 individual packs as I am only ordering a single case from Greg. I need to at least keep atleast 10 books for myself right? When I sell out, I will "wait list" a few members just in case there anyone that backs out of this deal. (which usually does not happen)

4. All the books will be delivered in the same condition I get these in. If anyone has any questions of how I ship my books, a few board members have purchased books from me and some say that they have never had a comic shipped so well. I will also try to be fair with how I distribute these books. Please do not expect to receive all Gem Mint copies because books do get damaged when they go from one place to another.

5. For international orders, please PM me and I can give you an estimate of the shipping costs. (since I am not making any $ on these books, I need to charge a little more to cover the Paypal fees plus the time it takes to pack and ship these more securely.)

----------------------------
Also, if any member buys any books or slabs on my page. I maybe able to combine the shipping.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38596" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
----------------------------

Lastly, please only reply below if you are interested in purchasing. Thanks.

Thanks man!

Lets try to get the 3,000 minimum first before. I'd hate to get 29 individual orders and fail for us to meet the 3,000 copy minimum.

8 Packs Reserved. Thank you!

Is it hard to do this.... Hmmmm

I'm working with 12 members now on the Feb Valiant Variants at my cost. Yes it does take a lot of time to do this, but it gives me an opportunity to do something for the Valiant community. There are many great people in this community and I will gladly take a step to help members and VEI whenever possible.

I am hoping that Greg can reach the 3,000 minimum for us to get this done.

I've done packing and shipping apparel for over 10 years. I can do it fairly quickly. Shipping the same packs shouldn't be hard. Let see how it goes.

Anyone wanting more than 20 books should probably work together to get another group together. Otherwise, this is a pointless thread as we won't get 3000 ordered to even make the book happen. dhudson's order for example is pretty much what my group will be doing. (I understand his reluctance to trust me with his address after repeated threat of raiding his comic stash - it really was all in good clean fun!)

I won't be bagging and boarding individually (as that would be a lot of work, but I will package carefully). But it will be 50 books each.

Right now we are only 40% of the way to getting this done and we only have until Sunday to finalize who's getting what. Let's save Elery's awesome offer for those that really can't afford more than a 10 pack.
*SQUEE* your science, I have a machine gun.

Updates:

2:24 PST.

90 books are still available (9 packs)

20/29 packs reserved.

I will make a list this evening on who wants how many packs.

Thank you all for participating. If anyone else wants 10 packs, let me know.

I forgot to mention that if anyone lives in Los Angeles County and wants to pick up their books, we can subtract the shipping costs.

(Warn you, I work in Downtown Los Angeles... Traffic and Parking is a PITA)

Thanks.

Hey guys if any Canadians or International fans need these books please have them check out this thread "VFans FCBD for Canada and International" (maybe I should start one in this forum), I'm in for a box of these things and need some help, I also am doing it for 0 profit so please check it out if you're in Canada or over seas.

Thanks,
