Favorite Regular/Second Printing Covers of 2012
We have a thread for variant covers, we have to remember that the regular covers are what is shown on shelves and on Comixology. With that said, why not a thread devoted to the regular cover art, as well as the second/number pi printings. Also, this only applies to this year's released covers.
X-O Manowar
Esad Ribic's cover for the debut issue is epic, and so were issues 2 & 3 by Jelena Djurdjevic. I also love Doug Braithwaite's cover to #7 and its depiction of Ninjak.
Harbinger
I love issue 2's cover by Arturo Lozzi with Dog Harada talking to Pete. I also like lonely/sad Pete and the background to #4 by Patrick Zircher. My favorite is Mico Suayan's cover to number 6 with Faith carrying Pete out of the Foundation.
Bloodshot
I don't know if I should like #1's cover by Arturo Lozzi with Bloodshot contributing to the "Chin Down, Eyes Up" trend, although it does look great; I found its second printing by Lewis Larosa to be better. Other favorites include Lozzi's #2 and Ribic's #3 covers.
Archer & Armstrong
#2's by Lozzi was my favorite due to the comedic effect of Archer putting a ton of arrows into Armstrong. I also liked #4 by Jason Pearson, simply due A&A's faces during the fight; they seem to be in it and accepting all comers.
Shadowman
I liked Zircher's #1, but this is a case where I do prefer Deve Johnson's variant covers after seeing him do his thing for Azzarello/Rossi books 100 Bullets, Spaceman, and Batman: Knight of Vengeance.
Special Props
Jelena Djurdjevic's cover to the FCBD book from this past May. It helped me get into Valiant and that is a good rendering of Aric.
