Sure seems like it's going to be, along with the rest of the Dying Wish storyline, which runs in 698-700. I think the new Superior Spider-Man's ID will be revealed.carter3175 wrote:Is that a major issue? Just asking?

Re: Spider-Man 698
I am guessing Miquel O'Hara - Spidey 2099. Based on the early images. Have not seen the actual book yet though.

Re: Spider-Man 698
That's a significant rumor going around as well. Rich Johnston said he's been spoiled on the issue, and the one thing he will say is it's not Miguel. No telling if he's messing around saying that, though.Trenton Sy wrote:I am guessing Miquel O'Hara - Spidey 2099. Based on the early images. Have not seen the actual book yet though.

Re: Spider-Man 698
It's possible Spider-Man 698 could be spoiled by searching for Spider-Man 365 on eBay. Just gotta do a bit of homework and deduction.

I normally try to avoid spoilers, but its real hard when you are a retailer trying to make sure all your customers are catered for. You cant pre order every book that Marvel say will be important, then sometimes they dont say at all, lol
Ill have a few extras for sale no doubt, but will snag some more on ebay wed morning

Re: Spider-Man 698
I just found a detailed spoiler on this issue. I'm surprised in for several reason. One reason I'm surprised is retailers seem to be indicatiing on eBay the new Spider-Man is someone, and they appear to be wrong who they're saying it is. In any event, this is going to be a strange, shocking issue, and perhaps historic.

I think there's also the possibility of it being a swerve. As in, the surprise in this issue is not neccesarily going to be the same when #700 rolls around.StarBrand wrote:I just found a detailed spoiler on this issue. I'm surprised in for several reason. Have I missed an issue or is this a request for pre-spoilers?

About 12 hours ago I saw a key page from this issue that had been posted online. It looks like it's been removed now. It is definately freaky.paradise wrote:It is going to SHOCK people like crazy. I know I freaked out a little when I found out what it is.

There's been lots of what can only be called hype about this issue, and I was wanting a spoiler ahead of time.ian_house wrote:Have I missed an issue or is this a request for pre-spoilers?

i just read it and its nothing that wont be resolved in a few issues
Clever idea, but too many outs to be a big moment in the history of spidey.

Re: Spider-Man 698
Well I read what I think was the spoiler. Why is this a big deal? It just sounds like the beginning of an interesting story, not a direction change. I don't get it.
Honestly, I was expecting that they were going to Ultimatize 616 Spidey and rid themselves of white Peter Parker in favor of the new majority again... What I read is nothing like this, so why is this a big deal?

Just looked through this in the shop and I have to agree -is this really a big deal? A nice (and well reheased) little story idea, but surely not anything that's going to have a lasting impact.

All of these "events" are jokes in the long term.
In the short term there's money to be made selling to people who don't understand the long term.
I won't be buying any, now or ever.
