X-O Movie treatment????????

Post by justin »

I didn't see this posted elsewhere on the site, but I thought some of you might like to see this. Its from the man, Bob Laytons site. If you are not familiar with his site, he updates it monthly and always has something Valiant related every month.

http://www.boblayton.com/news.htm here is the link to the movie treatment. Pretty sweet stuff!

Not only is the X-O treatment cool, but I have even more respect for Mr. Layton for picking the Birds to win the superbowl.

That was pretty cool. The story for me unraveled when Ken hacked into the X-O armor with a laptop. :!: Seems a little far-fetched to me.

Well that's just great, leave it to Acclaim to botch the movie deal. No wonder they went bankrupt. Can you imagine with today's technology what they could do with an X-O movie?

Also, what was Bob thinking of picking Ninjak as one the three movie choices. Did he forget about Magnus or Rai?

Man, an XO movie would rock!
I got a kick out of this...

"Asa Gunnerman, the unusually tall, acne-scarred C.E.O. of Orb."

Remind you of anyone?

Also, did you guys see this (in the news section as well):

"BOB TO CREATE TWO NEW VALIANT LITHOS FOR DYNAMIC FORCES!

DYNAMIC FORCES, distributors of fine comic-related collectables, has penned a deal with Bob Layton
to create art for lithograph prints based on the popular Western Publishing and Valiant characters, Magnus: Robot Fighter and Solar, Man of the Atom.
Copies of these prints will be offered on this website, once published.
Look for information to be posted as it becomes available or go to D.F.'s website by clicking on their logo."

Hey dino, the good news is that since you won't be tying up your funds on the Turok variant auction anymore you have extra spending cash!

Finally got around to reading it.

Not bad. Though I would've focused a bit more on Aric's adjustment to modern times and the armor's power (the fun of the concept) and less on Ken.

I just thought it was hillarious he "casts" Jim Shooter as Orb CEO and the main villian (even the name "Gunnerman" is a bad pun on Shooter's name). Lydia would've been stronger in that role, the "treatment" needed more female presence anyway (where's Randy when you need her :) ?). Anyway, if his evil CEO parrallels Shooter, I guess that would make Ken into Bob Layton and Aric into...Massarsky?!?
