Re: NYCC ORDERS
Never mind the other thread. Here's what I wrote there (updated):kjjohanson wrote:Take a look in the "I think I'm gonna weep…" thread for what I wrote there
Okay, so, a few members have already messaged me about this and I've responded. Looks like I'm stepping up. If you want in, message me with what you want, and whether you'd want any of that stuff autographed if it turned out to be convenient to make that happen (I'm thinking pie in the sky on the latter, so no promises on that).
According to the article that inspired this thread, there will be exclusive flipbooks (not sure of the price on this; if you want those, let me know the max you'd be willing to spend) and the Summer of Valiant TPB ($20). (And so you know, I know there's already 2 flipbooks out there, the X-O/Harbinger and Bloodshot/A&A. I assume that this con exclusive will be recognizably different, but in case it's not, would you want me to grab whatever is available, assuming you want the flipbook?)
I'll only be at the show Friday. I'm assuming that all of the exclusives will be available then, but if not, if someone else that *will* be there for the whole weekend can do this as well, give a shout out.
I'll collect money after the con when I have everything in-hand and have an idea of what shipping will cost.
Any advice that anyone can give on the most convenient/least time-intensive way to ship, please let me know. (I mean this in general, not just for the con stuff, as there is a bunch of comics I'd like to try to unload on eBay or comics sites, so you'd all be doing me a favor as well if you have experience and good recommendations for this.)

Re: NYCC ORDERS
UPDATE: I've been told that when con orders like this were done previously, $15 was the shipping charge, and that works nicely for a flat-rate box, so figure $15 for shipping.
So prices are:
$20 for the Summer of Valiant TPB
$15 (or 2/$25) Flipbooks
$15 for shipping (for something like a single TPB or just flipbooks, I might be able to ship in a flat-rate padded envelope protected on each side with cardboard if people want to save a few bucks on shipping, but it won't be as nicely protected as it would be in a box.)
(I'll try to grab one of the free issues for each order as well.)
I've already got requests for a dozen of the TPBs. To ensure that as many people can take advantage of this as possible (and that I don't get a hernia lugging this stuff home), I'm going to limit TPBs to 3. Since the shipping is less of a question now, I may start requesting that people pay via paypal in advance.

PM sent.

Re: NYCC ORDERS
Can someone confirm or refute the word that the flipbooks are going to be new? I was under the impression they were just going to have more A&A/Bloodhost and X-O/Harby flipbooks available.
Spooooon!!!!

The guys on this board have good intentions, but "fully-intending to pay" and actually paying are two different things.
Someone's aunt's neighbor's dog always needs an emergency operation to repair a torn rectum and there's just no way that any money can be spared at this time... blah, blah, blah...
You will be the loser if you wait for payment after the con.
