Swierczynski to write "X" at Dark Horse

The new Dark Horse Presents has been pretty interesting. I read X and Ghost back in the day and both were pretty cool. Funny to see another 90s universe get the reboot treatment, but that's the trend right now. Hopefully this won't impact DS's work on Bloodshot, but most writers split their time on multiple books I guess.

Thanks for the link. It's tough to buy DHP for so much dough just to read ome of the stories, though.

Valiant is the son of the New Universe.

I have DHP on my pull list already so I am very happy to see this. I was a big fan of Dark Horse's "Comic's Greatest World" back in the day. I think I have just about every comic they put out (not that there are that many). The Machine was my personal favorite, but I thought X and Ghost were pretty cool too. BTW the art in the revamped/rebooted Ghost in DHP is really good.

I hear you, but personally I love the anthology format. I have an (almost) complete run of the old B&W DHP series from back in the day. There were obviously some stinkers, but there were a ton of really good stories that got to be published this way.StarBrand wrote:Thanks for the link. I think, like Ghost and some others, they will eventually print the DHP stories as a #0 issue before the miniseries.StarBrand wrote:Thanks for the link. It's tough to buy DHP for so much dough just to read ome of the stories, though.

I have the first two parts of the Ghost relaunch. I will have to put DHP on my pull list. This is sweet news. Glorious indeed. My fave dead universe. WOOT.

Re: Swierczynski to write "X" at Dark Horse
I'm going to stop off at the comic-store today and put both these on my pull list. I had previously just had DHP. As a completist of the former CGW/DHH universe-I consider it second only to maybe Valiant for the unis that emerged in the 90s-this has me stoked. I do hope they bring back some of the other characters, although I will say, the cool part about X was how he was nearly all-powerful, with a very interesting weakness and he was a stone killer, rather than just an insane vigilante and as such, I am a little concerned. I was a big fan of how Grant wrote the original series.
As for my own speculation, I would guess DH would revive Barb Wire-please, ignored the Pam Anderson film, as it was 99% different from the book-and maybe something from either the Vortex area or Golden City. Either another Catalyst book or, maybe-sans Vortex?-a King Tiger series.

If I were doing it, the next two books would be Vortex and Amazing Grace.xodacia81 wrote:As for my own speculation, I would guess DH would revive Barb Wire-please, ignored the Pam Anderson film, as it was 99% different from the book-and maybe something from either the Vortex area or Golden City. I almost said that, but I was thinking that they might want a team book and that they might just decide to drop the whole Vortex idea. That's what gave me the idea to list King Tiger. I could live with a book about Grace and I would dearly love if they kept the Vortex concept and explored it properly, this time out.Chiclo wrote:If I were doing it, the next two books would be Vortex and Amazing Grace.xodacia81 wrote:As for my own speculation, I would guess DH would revive Barb Wire-please, ignored the Pam Anderson film, as it was 99% different from the book-and maybe something from either the Vortex area or Golden City.
