Vote for the Best New #1
Now that all four titles have launched, which one was your favorite?
It was a tough one for me between Bloodshot and Archer & Armstrong, but I am going with A&A. Maybe it's because I read it yesterday, maybe it's the fact it was the least decompressed.
I will note that Harbinger #2 has been my favorite single issue thus far.

Hugs and kisses.

I would have voted Shadowman #1 if you had put it on here. I can already tell where my heart lies.

Re: Vote for the Best New #1
I voted X-O. So far this is my ranking:
1. X-O: Best art, great writing so far. Cannot see another comic over taking X-O any time soon.
2. Harbinger: Great story, solid art.
3. Bloodshot: Great story so far, solid art...but with only one issue out so far hard to put this above Harbinger. has potential to pass Harbinger though IMHO.
4. A&A: Solid art, but the storyline has me worried so far. Dialogue is okay, but seemed cliche in spots.

Re: Vote for the Best New #1
Interesting voting so far...Honestly, XO has been my least favorite. I still think it has been great, but I am more excited about the other three. I think it's because not much has been that different from the original as of yet. That may change with the Ninjak arc, however..looking forward to that.

Re: Vote for the Best New #1
X-O is my favorite of the four series so far. But, I felt the first issue of both X-O and Harbinger were "spoiled" by all the previews. I have avoided as much of that as possible with the other books. And keeping that in mind, I'd have to say Bloodshot has been my favorite #1. If X-O #1 and Harbinger #1 hadn't been spoiled, that might be different.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

They are all good. But if I had to pick only one it's Harbinger. I love Dysarts writing. Plus I had a chance to actually meet him.
Harbinger 1 for me.

It's a tough call between X-O and Bloodshot.
I voted X-O.
but I agree that Harbinger #2 has been the best single issue thus far.

Re: Vote for the Best New #1
Comparing the #1's, I voted for Bloodshot. I was genuinely surprised by the plot, and I was struck immediately by the structural complexity of the writing and the interesting art possibilities with Bloodshot's powers.
But overall Harbinger is easily my favorite series so far. It's the one I find myself day-dreaming about what comes next . . .

Harbinger for me. I love the more serious tone right out of gate and of all of the books so far. It's the one I'm most looking forward to each month.

BlizzleShizzle for me. I didn't see that coming. It's a 1,000% improvement over the original #1.

I liked all of them but so far Harbinger #1 spoke the most to me and continues to be my favorite VEI book so far.

Shadowman!
Followed closely by Harbinger, which surprises me because I never really liked Harbinger the first time around. Not a big fan of team books so maybe my feelings will change when this becomes a "team" book.

I voted for Harbinger. Sad, but I haven't yet read a & A, and it's my old fave. On vacation. And loving it. But Harbinger JUST beat Bloodshot in my book.

Re: Vote for the Best New #1
I had a hard time deciding. X-O is so slow that based solely on #1 I set it aside as much as I like it the title.
Bloodshot has me a little non-plussed and I'm a tad worried about them blasting the character to smithereens repeatedly.
So it came down the a&A and Harbinger. While I like Harbinger and foresee great things, I pulled the lever for Van Lente and a&A. It just had a few truly declarative moments that set the tone for the book, imo.
But it's like Sophie's Choice... they're all so good.

Re: Vote for the Best New #1
My chief complaint for X-O and Harbinger has been pacing. Bloodshot, while I really love the change to story....it's quite a change to the power structure so I am still on the fence about the book.
A&A hit everything properly for me. I hold the original BWS run in the highest esteem and though this was different, I wasn't let down.
